Can Cameo 5 or Portrait 4 feed 3mm aluminum for heat foiling?
Or do the rollers require some material deflection to feed?

I recently got the Cameo 5a and making stickers. I new to the Silhouette world so I’ve been watching a lot of videos. Most mention the different blade sizes. What is the best blades you use and how do you recognize when to use those? I’m wanting to order some but didn’t know if there is a certain type that works best.
I didn't make a card front because it just sits on my shelf. Very simple 2-layer pop-up.
If I were to repeat this I would glue everything that has to move instead of using tape because the front piece wants to pull up whenever I open the card. Replace mountains with a large holiday sentiment to make it a Christmas card. Lower the right hinge so it doesn't show as much.
Trees - Sizzix Tim Holtz Thinlits 666334
Snow - Spellbinders City Holiday (Love this set so much, I always use the bits and bobs for other things)
Mountain - I cut some printer paper the same size as the card, sketched out the mountains, then cut out of cardstock. Probably not repeatable since I cut up my template sketch.
ASMR unboxing of a beautiful mystery tin from @thousandskies i got at @stationery.fest
It died. I can't get it to turn on at all.
I got this on a Black Friday when I was in my early 20s. Late 30s now. Pretty great machine for how much I've used it.
What model/machine would you suggest as a replacement?
so I finally found the calibration menu. NOW when I load my test page on mat to start the process, it won't cut! The carriage slowly runs vertically and horizontally for a couple of inches and then just stops. No cuts on the paper.
I don't know why all of a sudden my Cameo 5 eludes me. Normally I just sit down and GO.
Is the 5a print and cut lines that much better than the 5. I primarily make stickers. Thanks for any help
Found this cool stuff while exploring what can we do with Silhouette.
