Bit grim, but thought best to ask. We have a mama hedgehog nesting in a tarp under our garden furniture. Unfortunately one of the hoglets hasn't made it - should we remove the hoglet to avoid disease/maggots or will the mother eat it?

We have a mama hedgehog nesting in a tarp under our garden furnitue. Unfortunately one of the hoglets has sadly died - should we remove the hoglet to avoid disease/maggots or will the mother eat it?
