Instrument cluster rattle not covered under warranty

I have a bZ4x that has developed a significant instrument cluster rattle... ( https://youtube.com/shorts/6wjLmOyYHyU?feature=share ). The dealer has told me that, if it is a loose screw (which it sounds like it is a loose screw with a washer rattling). That it would not be covered under warranty or Toyota extended warranty. According to them that would not be a "mechanical failure" and hence not covered. My point is this, it would indeed be a mechanical failure of the screw/bolt/washer to retain enough grip into the plastic housing. OR, an assembly failure for not tightening the part enough, or not using enough lock tight or similar adhesive to maintain grip.

They want authorization for $149 (diagnostic fee) + $600 (two hours of taking the instrument cluster apart) to see what the rattle is. For the $149 they spent two hours today and said 'yep, we can reproduce the issue'.

Originally, they asked for $149 diagnostic fee, in case it is something I did (pen fell in a gap, coins, etc..). But I am not willing to budge on an additional $600 to pull things apart for what is certainly a loose screw/bolt + washer rattling that they will then charge me for.

I called the Toyota customer service center and they said 'well, if the dealer says it would not be covered then it would not be covered'.

Does anyone have any other options or ideas?
