SSV taking personal calls on airpods
During one of my last shifts, I noticed multiple times that my SSV was wearing airpods and talking to someone on the phone, both on the floor and in the back. It was clearly a personal call and not like a call with the SM (they were laughing and gossiping). They were clearly distracted from their playcaller duties and I had to go retrieve them from the back after they left us short handed out front while it was still busy.
This SSV already has a reputation for basically abandoning their playcaller duties to go "do the pull" or whatever else in the back for long periods of time without ever coming to check on us on the floor (even during peak!) often leaving us confused as to what people need to be doing or who needs to be taking their breaks, as well as taking breaks that are longer than our allotted 15 or 30 min.
I do definitely already have an issue with this SSV so I know I'm a bit biased here but I feel like it really was not cool at all for them to be chatting away on a personal call while the rest of us were scrambling around out front. And to be taking personal calls on your airpods ON THE FLOOR as an SSV?!
I don't like being the one to tattle on my coworkers but I feel like I should say something about this to my SM. Am I overreacting here?
