Hi everyone, I applied for a UK Student Visa and completed my biometrics on 20 July.

I have some of my required funds in a Fixed Deposit (FD). For those who have successfully received their UK Student Visa with funds in an FD, did you face any issues?

Is money held in a Fixed Deposit accepted as proof of funds in the same way as money in a savings/current account, or does the money need to be in an easily accessible savings/current account?

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has been in a similar situation. Thanks!

Biometrics submitted on 20th July at VFS Ahmedabad.

I received an “SLA not met” email on 6th August, but I still haven’t received any further update or decision.

I’ve already submitted a paid enquiry, but haven’t received a response yet.

I’ve also seen people who submitted their biometrics after me (22nd July and later) already receiving their visas or being contacted for an interview.

Getting quite anxious now. 😓

Has anyone with a similar timeline received their visa recently? How long did it take after receiving the SLA not met email?

I completed my biometrics on **20th July** (Standard Processing). Counting working days, I’m currently around **Day 10/15**, and the standard **15-working-day** target falls around 7th **August**.
