During the summer I organise social skatepark sessions for all levels of skaters and we tour the parks around our area every Saturday morning. This past Saturday we were at Railside Skatepark in Port Coquitlam, BC, Canada.

We had a surprise thunderstorm sneak up on us, but these hard core skaters wanted to roll out anyways. This was our Early Bird morning skate around the Stanley Park SeaWall in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

We did the 21km “Kaiju Skate” from New Westminster to Downtown, Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada).

We followed the BC Parkway, to the Central Valley Greenway, to the SeaWall.

This past Tuesday we skated 9km from 10th & the Arbutus Greenway to Milltown Pub. There were some hills on this route but everyone ascended them like champs. They were rewarded with delicious goods and good brews.

Every Tuesday night in August we street skate to a new destination for brews or ice cream. Last Tuesday we went from Jericho Beach to Earnest Ice Cream near Science World.

This week we skate from the top of the Arbutus Greenway to MILLTOWN Pub at the bottom.

Join us this week for our Early Bird Turtle skate on Friday, August 7th! This skate goes at a slow pace and takes the lower route to avoid the big hill. Meet us at the north side of Devonian Park at the map sign.

This is a 10km route. Make sure you bring water and your shoes with you. The skate takes about 1.5 hours. Recommended that you have some experience skating outdoors.

PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY to gear up, we roll out at 7:00am.

Wednesdays at 6:30am are our Early Bird Speed skates around the Stanley Park SeaWall in Vancouver, BC, Canada. The forest fires are finally catching up with us. We’re lucky it’s only smoke. Really hope they get some rain in the interior.
