My new cat has lost interest in me.
I rescued a 4 year old cat that I had interactions with on and off for a few months before I brought him home. For the first 2 weeks at home he was very affectionate towards me. What I didn’t know was he was very sick. He was an outdoor cat and had a severe bladder infection and a urinary tract infection. We spent $900 on his care within hours of bringing him home. The vet put him on several meds. For 2 weeks he slept a lot on my bed and interacted in a loving way. It was like he was happy to see me. I have to mention that I was slowly introducing him to my other 2 senior cats.
Now it’s like his real personality is coming out now that he’s off the meds and he doesn’t like me. I wanted a cat that needed attention and would like to interact with me. Is my cat just now going thru the adjustment phase now that he feels better.
I don’t know what happened in the last few days.
