For Those Who’ve Had a Tesla on PCP - Did You Buy It at the End or Hand It Back?

Hi all,

I’ve been doing a lot of research before ordering a new Model Y and I’m interested to hear from people who’ve actually reached the end of their Tesla PCP agreement.

My initial plan is to keep the monthly payment sensible and, assuming I’m still happy with the car, buy it outright at the end by paying the balloon payment. However, I’m curious whether that’s actually what people end up doing in reality.
If you’ve had a Tesla on PCP:

- Did you buy it at the end, hand it back or part exchange it?
- Looking back, do you think you made the right decision?
- If you bought it, would you do the same again?
- If you didn’t buy it, why not?
- Did the real-world value of the car end up being higher or lower than the GFV?
- Is there anything you wish you’d known before taking out the PCP?

It would be great to hear real experiences from Tesla owners who’ve reached the end of their agreement.

Thanks in advance!

Tesla’s New £2,500 PCP Deal Makes No Sense?

Can anyone explain Tesla’s latest PCP offer because the numbers don’t seem to add up?

Previous quote:

- £48,990 Model Y Premium LR RWD
- £2,800 deposit
- 2.9% APR
- £582/month
- Amount of credit £45,990
- GFV £22,653

New quote:

- Same £48,990 car
- Same £2,800 deposit
- £2,500 Tesla deposit contribution
- Same 2.9% APR
- £592/month
- Amount of credit still £45,990
- GFV £22,078

My confusion is:

If Tesla are contributing an extra £2,500, why hasn’t the amount of credit reduced and why has the monthly actually increased by £10?

I appreciate the GFV has dropped by £575, which explains some of the monthly increase, but where is the £2,500 contribution actually being reflected in the finance illustration?

Am I missing something obvious or is this just how Tesla structures its PCP offers?

Thanks!
