Overwhelmed by decisions: Choosing a fridge for one person — any recommendations?
Hey everyone,
I’m based in Germany and moved into my first apartment of my own about a month ago. It came without a kitchen, so I’m having to figure out quite a few things from scratch — including finding a fridge. I have a lot on my plate at the moment and haven’t been feeling my best, so all the options are getting a bit overwhelming. I could really use some advice.
I’m looking for a fridge-freezer around 60 cm wide, preferably from a well-known brand like Bosch, Siemens, Samsung, or something similar. I don’t need a huge fridge, but I’d like a decent-sized freezer for meal prep and freezing leftovers, rather than just a tiny freezer compartment.
I’ve set some money aside and am happy to pay for something reliable, but I don’t want to overspend or pay extra for features I won’t use.
Are there any specific models available in Germany that you’d recommend? What fridge and freezer capacity works well for one person, and which features have you found useful in everyday life?
