ReasonPS Review: I Wouldn’t Recommend Playing

Just wanted to put this out there for anyone considering playing ReasonPS. After putting time into the server, I genuinely wouldn’t recommend it.

Before I started playing, I actually read multiple reviews and comments warning about how terrible the staff were. I ignored them and figured people were probably just salty or exaggerating. After playing myself, I can say those reviews were pretty much spot on. I should’ve listened because I ended up having the same kind of experience people were warning about.

My biggest issue is the staff. In my experience, the staff are terrible to deal with, and some of the decisions come across as extremely biased and corrupt. The rules are also ridiculously strict for a private server. You can’t even do the same activity on multiple accounts, which makes having alts feel almost pointless.

The server is also aggressively anti-AFK. They’ve intentionally added mechanics specifically designed to prevent people from AFKing activities. I understand preventing botting, but there’s a difference between stopping bots and designing the game so players constantly have to prove they’re sitting at their computer.

Then there’s the actual quality of the server. The coding feels rough, pathing is terrible in a lot of situations, and there are plenty of things that just don’t feel polished. The PvM progression isn’t particularly impressive either. Once you reach a certain point and have decent enough gear, a lot of bosses basically turn into brute-forcing the mechanics instead of actually requiring much strategy or skill.

Overall, ReasonPS has some decent ideas, but they’re overshadowed by overly restrictive rules, anti-AFK mechanics, poor pathing/coding, questionable staff decisions, and PvM that eventually becomes pretty shallow.

If you’re looking for an RSPS to sink a bunch of time into, I’d personally look elsewhere. I saw other people saying the same thing before I started and ignored them. Turns out, they were right.
