Psychiatrists/residents, what's the easiest money you've ever made?

Radiology residents have this moonlighting gig where they can do contrast coverage, where they cover allergic reactions to contrast during imaging. Most never get a call, or if they do it's once or twice in their whole career.

Have you done any similar gigs from the psych side, and how did you get into it?

For those of us that went to community programs, what did we lose out on by not going to academic programs?

For the knowledge/skills we lack due to not being in an academic program, what can we do to bridge the gap?

Is there any point in me going for child fellowship?

PGY-3 here. Do you think it's wise for me to do a child fellowship just because I want to be a better adult psychiatrist? I'm interested in developing a strong understanding from the developmental perspective.

Negative comments about psych

Anyone here get any negative comments about psych? I remember when I was an M3, a surgery attending said "Are you okay?" when I said that I wanted to do psych. Then he proceeded to say that he hated psych as a med student

Edit: For the people that don't know, I couldn't give a flying crap what people think about psychiatry. This thread is purely just to see what people have experienced. I'm in psych, so naturally I've got a lot of curiosity
