Platinum to Gold? Or another card altogether?
I currently have the AMEX platinum card for 14 years. At this current juncture, my life is completely different. My kids are grown and out of the house, so spending is different. I also am traveling ALOT less. I’m starting to feel like that $895 AF isnt worth it. I am using certain credits that I wouldn’t necessarily be going to those stores if it weren’t for the credit incentive and it having a deadline. Feels like I could have a better use of my money elsewhere. NGL, for status it’s definitely feels like a blow to my ego, lol, but with an $895 fee that I’m really not taking advantage of the perks, I should be smarter with my money.
Is a downgrade to gold the way to go or is a cash back card with a completely different company better suited for my lifestyle now? Any recommendations for cashback cards that you currently have & love would be appreciated.
