Which vintage Tod's bag should I buy for a DIY purple dye project? Help me choose!

I’m planning to buy a vintage Tod’s suede/leather shoulder bag from a secondhand market, and I’m torn between these two options. btw they are both quite cheap - bag 1 is $25 and bag 2 is $18.
I’m also strongly considering dyeing the bag into a purple/deep plum color like this coach bag in the last pic. Both the suede and the leather part.
Which bag looks like it’s in better overall condition to you?
Considering my goal to dye it deep purple/plum, which one would be a better base? (I'm wondering if the dark teal of Bag 1 will make the purple too muddy/dark, or if the light mint of Bag 2 will be easier to color-correct using suede dye).
Do you think this DIY dye job is achievable to match the Coach bag's color? Any specific tips or warnings for handling Tod's suede and leather mixture?
