A few weeks ago I posted here after MoveChat crossed 100 users.

Today the website crossed 300 weekly users. 🥹

What's surprised me most is that this has been almost entirely organic. I think I've made one Reddit post about it since the last milestone, with no paid marketing or big launch.

MoveChat is an open source extension for exporting and transferring chats from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, etc.

I also finally put together a proper website with links for Chrome, Firefox, and GitHub:

Still feels pretty crazy seeing the graph go from ~80 → 300+ in a month.

Thanks to everyone who tried it or gave feedback ❤️

What's the point of this if people outside of china cannot play it 😭

Crossed 50 active users on my open source extension that fixes AI context limits

I built it because I was getting annoyed by Claude's "90% session limit reached" warning, like everyone else.

Seeing 50 people actually using it every week makes me kinda happy

The extension basically lets you download any conversation (with all images & files) as Markdown or PDF or you can also move your chat context to ChatGPT or Gemini

What happened?? Users went from 42 to zero in a single day? 😭

How did my extention's users go from 42 to zero in a single day?

This is my first extension on Chrome store so I am not exactly sure.

Are the chrome analytics tweaking?

Switch between ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini without losing context

Hey everyone!

I built this mostly out of pure frustration. I switch between Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini all day, but whenever I hit a rate limit on Claude or wanted to test the same problem on a different model, transferring context was a pain. Manually copy-pasting chat histories, code snippets, and re-uploading screenshots was constantly breaking my focus.

So I built MoveChat to solve it for myself.

It lets you capture your active chat session (including prompts, responses, and attached images) and resume it directly on another AI platform in a few clicks.

A few quick details:

  • 100% Local & Private: No external backends, tracking, or databases. Everything runs locally inside your browser context.
  • Fully Open-Source: Built with TypeScript and Manifest V3.

Here are the links if you want to try it or check out the codebase:

I'd love to get your feedback, bug reports, or feature ideas! If you find it helpful dropping a ⭐ on GitHub means a lot ^^

I got 10 installs from 41 Chrome Store visitors. At what point would you stop optimizing the store page?

I published my first Chrome extension a few days ago (made it public on 11 July, the earlier installs were from private testing), and I've been watching the analytics more than I probably should 😅

Current stats:

• 41 Chrome Store page views

• 10 installs

• ~24% page view → install conversion

One thing I realized is that this number doesn't tell me much without context.

A 24% conversion could mean:

- the store page is good but I need more traffic,

- the traffic is highly targeted,

- or I'm focusing on the wrong metric entirely.

For those who've shipped Chrome extensions:

- Is install conversion something you paid attention to early on?

- At what point did you start optimizing your store page versus focusing on getting more people to discover it?

- Looking back, what's one thing you wish you'd optimized sooner?

If anyone's willing to take a look at the listing, I'd genuinely appreciate any feedback as well:

Thanks!
