Can People Just Let Yogesh Breathe?

At this point, I’m genuinely feeling bad for Yogesh. These people need to give that guy a break. Every time he does something, a new narrative is created around it.

Last time, it was, “He called her because he still has feelings for Ruru, still loves her, still cares about her, and he’s only with Akanksha for popularity.” Then the guy had to come out and clarify that it was just a genuine, empathetic gesture from his side. I don’t even know why he felt the need to explain it, but he still mentioned that the person who needed to know about it already knew when he did it. Even the initial voice note he sent and later deleted apparently said that she knew at that very moment. So that theory should have ended there.

Then came the new live theory: he joined because he wanted to see Ruru, he’s doing all of this because he wants to go to Bigg Boss with her, he’s fame hungry, and he’s doing everything for clout. Apparently, he did the same thing with Akanksha last time, and now he’s supposedly trying to get back with Ruru. Now, according to some highly intellectual people on Reddit, he’s apparently pre planning everything with Ruru. And once again, he’s being dragged into another round of narratives.

Now his next show date has been announced as 20 September, and the event page itself confirmed that he has other commitments in between. People were asking whether it was actually 20 August or whether the date had been entered incorrectly, and they confirmed that it is September.

I understand that people have trust issues with him, but nobody is going to keep jumping from one person to another just to fit whatever narrative fans have created. With Akanksha, there was at least a clear progression. He was emotionally connected to her during the show, openly said he liked her, and later explained that he wanted to remain friends because he didn’t want to ruin their bond. Whether they choose to label their equation or keep it private is their business.

And honestly, do people really think he would risk the image he has worked so hard to rebuild, the followers he gained, and everything he has done since then just to suddenly go back to Ruru? What is he supposed to say this time…she’s my true love?
Not everything needs a conspiracy theory. Let the guy breathe and live his life without turning every little thing he does into another narrative.

Getting Projects Is the Real Win

To all the people crying about views, with or without views, Akanksha is getting projects one after another. And it doesn’t really matter to the actor whether an MV gets views or not because they’re paid for their work regardless of its success. So yes, getting work is better than getting no projects at all.

Both her previous works were released on individual channels and by artists without major labels. Eyes did well for a Marwadi song. 3M is a good number. Dooriyan, I agree, was a bad choice, but it was released on a channel with only around 400K subscribers. Even her vlogs get better views. For an MV to do well, you need a good song, proper promotion, and a good label with reach.

To Yogesh solos mocking her with “third flop MV” or “hat-trick”: it’s better to get paid. These people have worked on MTV projects without getting paid, so at least here she’s getting paid. Whether the MV does well or not, her job is done.

And to Akanksha solos mocking Yogi with “hat-trick fail in three shows”: in all three shows, he was an MVP and created a cult following that will stay with him for a long time. That’s not a failure to me.

The Double Standards Are Something Else

So now we finally have an answer to why Akanksha dislikes Ruru but forgave Yogesh. You all called her a pick me for that. Now that Ruru has said she respects Yogesh, the guy who cheated on her, but has posted a snap calling Akanksha toxic and expressing her dislike for her, isn’t Ruru also a pick me by that logic?

Before coming at me, this is based on a recent post I saw and the double standards of people. I don’t think any of the three are necessarily wrong.

When Will This Hate Stop?

Stop hating on Akanksha again. Stop portraying her as some evil influence in his life. Was she not there in his life when he made the call? Because according to you all, they’ve been together since March, so if you now think he’s a good person, her influence should ideally be a positive one too.

He made that call out of empathy. That’s a mature take. He was always a nice person, he was never the way you all painted him after Splits. Now you’re doing the same thing with Akanksha, saying she’s a bad influence, lacks empathy, and is the reason they split, while he still cares about Ruru. It’s stupid. Didn’t you all slut-shame Akanksha for being empathetic before? Now that his empathy is directed towards Ruru, suddenly it’s “Yogesh was always a good man, Akanksha is evil.” Come on, let that girl live.

Rushali, I saw what you did with the “why is he acting all different on camera when he still cares about you off camera” angle. Nice job with the narrative setting. We’re all humans. Checking on someone who’s going through hell is a genuine human gesture, regardless of whether that person is your ex. Rushali didn’t understand it then, and she still doesn’t understand it now. If he wants to stay with whoever he wants, let him. Leave both the girls alone.

Hear me out, Ashram gang.

I’ve read this in multiple GCs too, and honestly, I think there’s something you guys could build together. Ashram gang are genuinely the kind of people you don’t get bored watching. They’re fun, have completely different personalities, but somehow share the same brain cells.

You already have the perfect F.R.I.E.N.D.S. style setup. You all live in the same building, have different apartments, but still end up chilling at Shubhangi’s place most days. You’re all in your early twenties, figuring out life in a new city. That’s literally a plot people would love to tune into. Make the best use of the hype you already have and start a channel together. Keep your individual channels as they are, but use the new collective channel for lifestyle vlogs and content with everyone together. It can definitely find an audience, and it helps everyone involved even if one or two people go through a slower phase at some point. It can become an additional source of income for all of you too.

Yogesh, Akanksha and Gullu’s vlogs already follow different timelines, so try doing something different on the new channel and build it now while you have maximum reach. And honestly, it would also stop people from calling whoever posts a clout chaser. There are so many successful creators who have common channels and create content together.

You guys already have the bakchod energy, a possible love story, a funny guy, gym content, friendship dynamics and basically everything needed for entertaining lifestyle content. You already have the cast. Just make the channel.

The Reputation Rebrand

Teja is Akansha and Akansha is Teja in a different font. It’s not just the similarities in how they look, they’re actually quite similar in many ways. “Same same but different”

Maybe it’s a funny take, but the last time I saw such a massive image clean up was with Karan during BB15. Karan came in with that typical Roadies/MTV “bad boy, playboy, arrogant, not serious about relationships” image. Even his old takes on relationships were very casual, he spoke about not seeing marriage as necessary and being comfortable with an open relationship.

Then came Tejasswi. Their relationship unfolded on BB in front of everyone, and people saw their dynamic through the show, vlogs, pap videos, after shoots, and everything that came afterwards. She rarely gives interviews unless they’re genuinely necessary for a project, but whenever Tejasswi did speak about him, she talked about the effort he made, how safe he made her feel, and how he became the support system she had never really had because she’d been taking care of her family from a young age. All of that gradually changed how people viewed him from a red flag to “Karan Kundrra is the green flag everyone wants.”

And now I’m seeing something very similar with Yogesh. It’s not just Akansha’s interviews either. People saw how he treated her throughout Lock Upp, how she spoke about him, and their dynamic in general. The Instagram comments are slowly changing from “I hope I never meet a guy like Yogesh” to “Everyone deserves a Yogesh” and “Yogesh Rawat, the man you are.”

It really does remind me of Karan and Teja five years ago. Maybe sometimes people aren’t bad as individuals. It just takes us some time to see them for who they really are.

People Will Twist Anything to Fit Their Narrative

It’s funny how people are back to the “Yogesh still loves Ruru” theory over one interview. All he said was that if Ruru had entered, he initially wouldn’t have talked to her, but then said he probably would’ve just said a simple “hi, hello” because he doesn’t think she would’ve created a scene. He said she would’ve understood how her actions could affect everyone involved. That’s a mature response.

What exactly do people want him to say? When he made harsh comments before saying “maybe she’s in hell,” making the alimony remark, liking posts against her, and speaking disrespectfully everyone called him a manchild and criticized him. Now that he’s being respectful, suddenly it means he wants her back?

The funniest part is that, in the same interview, he openly admitted he likes Akanksha but said he respects her decision because she finds it difficult to trust him. He clearly said he doesn’t want to force anything. He’s finally showing some growth, yet people are twisting even that. Throughout the show, the image he tried to build was of someone who made mistakes, realized them, worked on himself, and tried to earn forgiveness. Why would he suddenly throw all of that away? He’s also openly said that he’s happy the hate has reduced. If people believe he’s selfish, then logically he has even more reason not to risk everything by creating unnecessary confusion again.

And the same people who were calling him a cheater and a manchild are now shipping him with Ruru while saying he has no chemistry with Akanksha. If Yogesh and Akanksha had no chemistry, their Instagram engagement, shipping fandom, and even people from the industry wouldn’t be appreciating their bond. At this point, just let Ruru move on and let Yogesh and Akanksha decide what they want. Stop forcing the trio narrative and using Yogesh as a prop to fit whichever story is trending that day.

Finally, Someone Sees It Too

I have the same feeling. Finally, someone outside the MTV gang and Rishabh’s serial friends who shares the same view as me. I genuinely don’t understand how people find Shreya positive. People have good and bad days, but her bad behaviour was consistent throughout the season.

Stop Babying Adults: Let Them Choose

To haters and solos, at least be consistent with your script. In the first three weeks, the narrative was ‘Yogesh fell harder, he’s more into her, she’s maintaining distance, her heart eyes are gone.’ Then when he got eliminated, it became ‘she’s laughing, she’s smiling, she moved on, he was more affected.’

Now that he’s back, the script has completely flipped. Suddenly it’s ‘she’s so in love, he changed, save my girl.’ Can people stop babying two adults and let them make their own choices? Did Akanksha ask anyone before meeting him on March 3? Did Yogesh ask anyone before saying he liked her? No. Then why dictate their lives?

Till the fourth week, everyone said Yogesh was affected by her eviction and felt overshadowed. Now that he’s focusing on his individuality, there’s another problem. He literally came back from her apartment and used her shoelace to fix his pants, so what more are people expecting?

This is peak TejRan deja vu. The same ‘save my girl, she deserves better’ narrative happened there too. People forget that when two ambitious people are together, they will still prioritise their own goals and careers. In Yogesh and Akanksha’s case, we don’t even know if they’re more than friends. Either way, they’ve made it clear from day one, their first priority is themselves.

Let Them Live Beyond the Ship

The expectations some shippers (and even haters) have from Yogesh and Akansha are honestly exhausting. This is the same fandom that, during Splitsvilla, was happy just seeing them in the same place or connecting tiny details from different vlogs. People would literally celebrate Yogesh sitting on Shubhangi’s sofa in one vlog and Akansha sitting on the same sofa in another. They knew nothing was happening between them, yet they happily survived on those crumbs. Even when Yogesh was in another relationship, many still supported them without demanding anything. That’s one of the reasons the fandom grew so much.

Now, because they’re getting more content, people have become too attached. You’re still only watching a one hour edited episode out of 24 hours, yet some expect them to behave exactly the way they want. They expect Akansha to cry a certain way, Yogesh to react a certain way, and even plan how they should behave after the show. It’s as if they’re characters in a novel or a Wattpad story instead of real people.
I remember TejRan fans getting so obsessed that they started overthinking every little thing about their lives. After Bigg Boss, they no longer had 24/7 access, so they began judging their bond through interviews, posts, and every small reaction. That constant scrutiny is also one of the reasons they stopped posting together as much.

The more expectations you have, the more disappointed you’ll be when reality doesn’t match your imagination. And it’s unfair to them too. They’re both young and should be allowed to figure things out at their own pace without feeling pressured to satisfy a fandom. Let them live their lives instead of treating them like fictional characters.

Why This Is Still a Win for Akanksha

I don’t think Akanksha should be dissatisfied or unhappy with what happened, and I don’t think people should be playing the “karma” card here. This isn’t how karma works. She only missed four days of the entire shoot. She was eliminated on Friday, and the shoot wraps up on Tuesday, so out of the whole six-week journey, she literally missed just the finale week. She’ll still be paid for almost the entire duration, so professionally, it’s not a huge loss.

The support she’s getting isn’t because she was evicted; it’s because of how it happened. If she’d simply lost a task, it would’ve been a normal elimination. But Suzanne’s decision put her at risk, while many others were saved by their family members. That’s why people feel bad for her. On top of that, many viewers who know Akanksha from Splitsvilla already have a soft corner for her. Seeing something similar happen again is naturally going to make people sympathize with her. She doesn’t even have to ask for sympathy people will give it to her on their own. I also think she’s very close to hitting 4 million followers. Last time, when people felt Suzzane had been a bad friend, social media was full of comments saying, Never have a friend like Suzzane.I wouldn’t be surprised if she receives similar criticism again, while Akanksha ends up on the receiving end of support.

At the end of the day, this could actually work in Akanksha’s favor. Realistically, even if she had made the top five, she probably wasn’t going to win the show. So missing just four days isn’t the end of the world. She still got a long run on a Netflix reality show, which is a huge achievement at 24. And honestly, the money she could lose from those four days can probably be earned back quickly through brand collaborations once she’s out. Overall, I think she’ll be just fine, and I hope this opens even bigger opportunities for her. Good luck, girl!

Shreya making fun of Harshad’s past suicide attempt is a new low.

Whether you like Harshad or not is irrelevant. Trauma doesn’t disappear just because it happened 10 years ago. It takes courage to open up about something so painful. Self-harm is not normal, and it should never be mocked or normalized. You can criticize someone’s actions without making fun of their mental health struggles. That says more about you than it does about them.

If these exact words had been said by someone like Akanksha, Reddit would be flooded with posts and people would be writing long stories calling it out.
I also saw a clip from Shubhi’s interview where she said Akanksha made low comments like “sugar daddy,” but that Shreya has never stooped that low. Conveniently forgetting that Shreya accused Akanksha of sleeping with multiple men. How is that not low?

I just hope the people who were so quick to call out others are equally vocal now. Mocking someone’s past suicide attempt is crossing a line. Standards should be consistent, not selective.

Some Contestants Have Simply Disappeared

Laila was barely visible in the last two episodes. Earlier, he at least had a couple of minutes with Pam or Chamola. Even his Fan Favourite segment, where he was thanking his fans, was cut. There’s literally no arc for him.
The same goes for Pam and Chamola. Pam’s only major screen time came during her fight with Choudhary, and even there, the focus was mostly on Choudhary. Same for Dheeraj except for today’s episode.

Let’s Hold Ram Kapoor Accountable

To all the Shreya, Shivangi, and Akanksha fans. You guys trend literally for everything on Twitter. So let’s use that strength for something that actually matters. Trend to ask Ram Kapoor to stop being touchy with the women on the show. Trend to ask Farah to address it. This is something all three fandoms should be able to agree on. Shreya has openly spoken about it, and Akanksha looked visibly uncomfortable. It’s about respecting personal boundaries.

You can’t show on a global platform that just because someone claims their actions come from “fatherly affection,” those actions are automatically justified. They are not. No matter what your relationship is with someone, there have to be boundaries. The makers shouldn’t send the message that if someone is seen as a father figure, crossing personal boundaries is acceptable. It isn’t. Respect and consent matter in every relationship. We Need the Makers to Address This.

Equation Aside, They Looked Amazing Together

Whatever their equation may be, they made a really good looking team. (Sorry, Ramji I had to leave you out. 😭) They all looked so good during the arena task.

u/Savings_Mention_4704 — 29 days ago

They’ve Given More Since Day 1

I hope Shreya and Akanksha both make it to the Top 5. Pushing Shivangi and spoon feeding her has finally gotten her screen time in Week 4, but those two have literally given it their all since Day 1, be it fights, strong stands, right or wrong. I just hope Ekta stays fair and doesn’t push either of them out of the Top 5 just to promote the bahu beta jodi.

I understand that Varun is also a strong player with a very solid fan base. But apart from a few funny moments, I don’t think he’s contributed much to the show. I know that’s just his personality, but I’ve rarely seen him take a strong stand. Even in today’s episode, he played it very safe. As for Yogesh, if he comes back, I don’t think they’ll keep both him and Akanksha in the Top 5. If he’s getting a wildcard, he’ll most likely stay and get that complete comeback arc because of the audience’s support, and he might even end up winning.

As much as I like Yogesh, if I look at it from a neutral point of view, I don’t think we’ve seen anything extraordinary from his game so far. Mainly because there weren’t many tasks, and he didn’t really have opportunities to argue, take strong stands, or show different sides of his personality. That’s not entirely his fault, but based on what I’ve seen till now, I genuinely feel Shreya and Akanksha deserve those Top 5 spots more.

I’d Choose Akanksha Over Pam Any Day

I’d prefer watching Akanksha over Pam any day, whether she’s with Yogesh or not. At least Akanksha has a voice and takes a stand, rather than giving massage sessions, Dubai talks, and whatever she calls content. Saying, “What is she without Yogesh?” didn’t sit right with me because it’s just pushing the same old narrative that Yogesh was only Akanksha’s shadow. Till Episode 21, we’ve definitely seen Akanksha on screen at least twice as much as Pam.

A reaction pattern people choose to ignore

This was Akanksha when Ritesh announced that she was getting terminated, and she was smiling even then. Her first reaction to her own elimination was the same. Yet you’re saying she smiled when Yogesh was eliminated because her ego got satisfied? Come on, get over her. That’s simply her first reaction whenever something goes wrong. By that logic, was she smiling during her own elimination because her ego got satisfied too? What kind of logic is that?
