I applied varnish for the first time and want some feedback. I used AK Interactive Gloss varnish for everything and it's already had 24 hours to cure. I really like the shiny carapace and base. I'm kinda nuetral on the skin wondering if I should coat it with satin or matte or am I good as is? Thanks in advance.
I'm new to playing 40K and don't have any friends that play. I had the idea that I wanted to collect several combat patrols, so that if a friend came over I could get them to play without any investment on their part. I just want to know if there is some semblance of balance between them on average. Is the average fairly close for a couple of noobs to have an enjoyable game with some outliers here and there, or is it pretty much the norm for things to be predetermined by patrol pick? I know the datasheets for Combat Patrol are adjusted with the game mode in mind to adjust for varying amount of points per box, but curious if there's actually a meaningful impact on balance in the general opinion of the group. Hey, kind of a shot in the dark, just wanted to know if anyone has any recommendations for a folding table that's a good size for Combat Patrol. I've seen lots of tables made specifically for full 44x60 games, but not any 44x30. I imagine because it's way more niche comparatively. I'm limited on space or I might would just go for the 44x60. Also I'm located in the US. Any help would appreciated, thanks in advance.
