I(35F) just got back from a 8 day long vacation trip to NYC for my birthday. It was my first time experiencing NYC as an adult and honestly I loved it. I traveled to NYC as a kid a lot because my moms side of the family is there.

I have a perfect storm of working remote, my aunt is moving to DR in June and I can split my time between NYC and Colorado. I will be living in her apartment in sheepshead bay.

Now the question is when should I make the leap? I'm thinking mid July but I don't do well in the heat, I like the cold. Are NYC summers as terrible as I think the they are?

My plan is to fly with 2 suitcases of clothes, my cat and my laptop. Buy a 2 monitor set up for the living room when I get there and see how this goes.

Thoughts?? This would be my first time moving out of state and I need a change.

I spoke to the front desk and asked if they had any adult party packages and they said they do cabana rentals in the summer when they fill the outdoor pool. They won't fill the pool till memorial day... Does anyone have any insight of the cost and what's included?
