Damage to OEM Rims
I purchased my 2026 ITS in January. I live in NE Ohio so purchased a set of winter tires and rims that the dealer installed so I could drive it home. I just pulled out the summer set to ceramic coat them before mounting on Friday, and I noticed on all four rims, on the inside of the barrel, there are these scuffs all around near where the tire bead is applied. These are stock OEM rims, never seen the street, and only swapped once.
I can't imagine this is normal, as it looks like the damage is through the exterior coating. I called the dealer but they haven't called back yet (surprise). I have to assume they came from the factory like this since the rims were only swapped with my winter set at the dealer. I can't imagine how that could happen with just a swap since they didn't touch the tires.
Any thoughts are appreciated. Right now I'm hoping the dealer swaps the rims, as I assume the removed coating will cause oxidation and damage long-term.
