I'm curious to know how many mechanics are having to pay for their uniform cleaning service. Are you paying the full cost, split cost, or nothing at all?

Please include if it's with a dealer or indie.

It's been many years since I worked at a dealership but back then we had to supply our own gloves but there was no charge on the uniforms. Since then I've only been with indies and they always covered both.
Owner of the company i work for is wanting to add the service but pass the entire cost onto the mechanics. I don't like it but I'm curious what the norm is.

2013 Soul has an MPI system. I received a new crate engine but its setup for GDI with the high pressure fuel pump mount. Obviously the cylinder head is different but what about the block? could i, in theory, swap the heads and run it? or is there a difference in the block too?
