[REQUEST][STEAM] Outer Wilds ($12.49 / 50% OFF) (Attempt 5)
Hey everyone! Hope you’re all having a good weekend. Since Outer Wilds is still on sale for 50% off ($12.49), I’m putting my heart into Attempt 5.
If you're wondering why I keep coming back to this specific game attempt after attempt, it's honestly because no other game even comes close to the experience this game gives, I’ve literally styled my whole Steam profile around space and Outer Wilds at this point because I love the aesthetic so much. There just isn't another game on Steam that does what Outer Wilds does, and it's the one thing I want to play more than anything else right now. I’ve been a massive space nerd forever, and all I really want is to pull up that Signalscope late at night, tune into those faint instrument signals floating through open space, and just get completely lost in its universe. Getting to try like 15 minutes of it on a friend's PC a while back completely ruined other games for me, that feeling of total freedom to explore a clockwork solar system with zero minimaps or quest markers holding your hand is incredible. I’ve been dodging spoilers like crazy because I know you can only truly experience it blind once.
Things are pretty rough on my end financially right now, which is why I can't grab it myself. My previous work contract ended recently, and while I'm actively applying for new work and appealing to my old workplace for a re-contract, the job market here is tough. On top of that, I'm staying at home as the primary caregiver for an elderly relative with medical needs. Between daily household expenses and medical runs, there’s really no room for a gaming budget. My PC is practically a toaster running on an old GT 1030, but having a quiet, slow-burn exploration masterpiece to sink into late at night would mean the world to me.
I can promise it won't just sit in a backlogged library either. When I won Resident Evil 4 (2005) in a giveaway here by a generous gifter, I jumped straight in and played through Leon's whole campaign. But with Outer Wilds, it's more than just finishing a story to cross it off a list, I want to take my time, fill out every entry in the ship log, and just sit by the campfire listening to that banjo theme while getting completely lost in space.
Thanks a lot to anyone who took the time to read through this!
Love y'all,
