[REQUEST] [STEAM] Risk of Rain 2

[REQUEST] [STEAM] Risk of Rain 2

Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing well. I would like to ask if anyone would be willing to gift me a copy of Risk of Rain 2. I've been interested in this game for a long time, especially because I enjoy roguelike games and games with a lot of replayability. I enjoy games that I can return to repeatedly without getting bored quickly. Risk of Rain 2 seems like the type of game that I could play for a long time, experiment with different builds, and keep coming back to whenever I want to play something challenging.

Unfortunately, I can't afford to buy games right now, so I thought I would make a request here. I'm from Indonesia, and money is quite limited for me at the moment. I'm currently unemployed and in my seventh semester at university, so I don't have a source of income of my own. Most of my focus is on finishing my studies, and I try not to ask my family for money for non-essential things like games. However, Risk of Rain 2 is a game I've been interested in for quite some time because of its roguelike gameplay, replayability, and different characters and builds. It's one of those games that I would genuinely like to spend time playing rather than simply adding it to my library and leaving it untouched.

Risk of Rain 2 is currently on sale for Rp39,599 (around $2.22). I know this may not seem like a lot of money to some people, but it is still more than I can comfortably spend right now.

I completely understand if nobody is able to help, and I don't expect anyone to feel obligated to do so. I'm simply grateful for the opportunity to make a request and for anyone who takes the time to read my post.

Thank you very much for reading, and thank you to this community for giving people opportunities like this.

[Request] [Steam] Dark Souls 2 Scholar of the First Sin.

I have been interested in Souls like games for a while now but I never tried one. Dark souls 2 is the cheapest one on Steam so I thought maybe this would get more of a chance of being gifted to me.

Elden Ring is so beautiful from the YouTube playthrough I have watched and it really made an impact on me. The streamers die a lot of the time but they keep coming back to the game which really interests me. It makes me wonder what makes this genre so unique to the people who play. I wanted to start with Dark Souls because it is what made the genre. I wanted to appreciate it from its roots and play it. I heard that dark souls 2 is different and from what I watched it looks like the kind of game that has flaws that makes the game more unique. I saw someone being chased by tons of enemies. I want to experience what makes this genre special to the people who played it. It intrigues me that something that is purposely difficult and punishing to players is loved by many.

Thanks for taking the time to read my request and a good day to you.

[Discussion] Reasonable price for requests

What price range would you say is acceptable to request a game in?

People usually request games because they simply can’t afford them at the moment, but what do you think is the maximum here? Let’s say a person wants a game that costs 65ish and on sale it would be ≈48, would you say it’s too much?

I’m new to this sub, so it’s simple curiosity on where people draw the line

[Request] [Steam] Sonic Racing Crossworlds (60% off)

Hi, I'm new here. I have had this game on my wishlist for a while, but due to other responsibilities, I can't afford to get it. As to why I want it, I have been following the sonic racing series since racing transformed, and from the limited instances I have played Crossworlds, it’s as good as the entry it’s based on.

I played racing transformed back around its launch, and I think the biggest draw for me was the roster. Some of the character picks were absurd, but in a good way (Wreck It Ralph anyone?) I look back at that time fondly.

When Crossworlds was announced and revealed that it would return to the transform mechanic, I was ecstatic, and I would immediately play it around launch, though, through unofficial means.

Due to real life priorities like, studying, bills, etc, I have not been able to get around to buying this. Fortunately though, I did manage to play it on my homebrewed switch, and I've gotta say, they did a damn good job.

Like transformed, the biggest draw for me is the roster. Seeing a Yakuza character and god damn Miku in the same game is the absurdity I wanted from this, and now seeing Godzilla getting a track increased my interest in the game even more as a fan of that series. While playing it homebrewed is fun, the multiplayer is where I think the game really shines.

After playing in the beta and the free to play period, I find the multiplayer so chaotic, but in an addictive way. One moment you're in 1st place, then some lucky bastard gets the laser wisp, followed by you getting run over by a truck, and vice - versa. So while the single player is solid, I think I'm missing out on a core part of the game.

If you've reached the end of this, thanks for taking the time to hear me yap about this game, and if you do decide to gift it, I'll be deeply grateful.

[request] [steam] tekken 8 (40% off)

Ok so I need to make my case for why someone should gift me Tekken, and I promise this isn't as unhinged as it's about to sound.I've been obsessed with competitive multiplayer games since I was a kid, the kind where you tell yourself "just one match" and then it's three hours later and you're still there, blaming your controller, promising the next one will be different. Fighting games always felt like the purest version of that to me.I remember watching people play as a kid and thinking that had to be the coolest skill in the world the silent, dead-serious rounds where you and your friend are basically willing the next combo to land, and then whoever wins gets to be insufferable for exactly thirty seconds before losing the rematch. That's the whole appeal for me. Not just winning, but the trash talk, the "run it back," the moment you finally crack someone's pattern, losing badly enough to get mad, practicing out of spite, and then coming back to wreck the same person who wrecked you ten minutes earlier. Tekken has basically everything I'm into :combos, mind games, character variety, the long grind of actually getting good at someone. it's 40% off right now, so if it's possible... Could someone gift me my type of game so I can replay it again from my days of psp and tekken 6?

[REQUEST][Steam] Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls (2nd Attempt)

Hey everyone, this is my 2nd attempt

Writing this because I’m a huge fighting game fan trying my luck to get Marvel Tokon. Fighting games are pretty much the only genre I play seriously. My main game for years has been Dragon Ball FighterZ (also by ArcSys), i have over 700 hours on it, spent way too many nights in the training mode practicing combo routes, blockstrings, mix-ups, and running sets online.

When Marvel Tokon was announced, I was hyped because ArcSys is easily my favorite dev team when it comes to anime/tag Fighters and i am a huge fan of Marvel, so its like my favorite thins all in one. I played the open beta a while back and completely fell in love with it, i spent almost the entire beta running spider man and ghost rider, two of my favorite characters

The main problem for me right now is the price tag here in Brazil. Regional pricing has been really rough lately, the base game costs R$ 339,90 (and the top edition goes up to R$ 569,90). To put that into perspective, the minimum wage here is around R$ 1,500/month.

I'm currently a student and working part-time as a pizza delivery driver, what I make barely covers my basic expenses and studies, so dropping over R$ 300 on a single game just isn't realistic for me right now, no matter how much I want to play it.

If anyone is in a position to gift me a copy (just the standard edition), i will be insanely grateful. I can guarantee you it won't be wasted and i am going to sink hundreds of hours into labbing matchups and playing online just like I did with DBFZ.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post.

[Request][PC] Minecraft Java and Bedrock Edition [Attempt 4#]

Hello Everyone

Well i dont have anything new to say but yeh i will not give up

Well how do I begin? So it was around the lockdown period 2020–2021 and at that time I was playing Clash of Clans, Brawl Stars, and Clash Royale (I am still playing Clash of Clans, TH16 + Max Walls :p). I was in middle school and one of my friends introduced me to Minecraft. Well at first I thought it would be a normal game like every other game and I was wrong. The game was goated for me at that time.

Well around 2020–2021, Minecraft on the Play Store was around ₹650 (≈ $7). So I installed it through HappyMod and man it was such a good experience for me during the lockdown period. I played the game with my friend and brother on an Aternos server, and we completed the game on mobile after around 5–6 months of playing.

Then there came the phase where you don't like to play this game, but well, it was not the case with me. My brother and friend did leave the game, but I continued to play. And as I was playing on my mother's phone, my mother factory reset the phone idk for what reason, but due to that, I lost my 6–7-month world. And man I was so sad that I thought I should leave this game. Well i did not.

I got my first phone in high school (11th grade in India), and I played with my friends, and yeah I was the one to make them play. They thought that the game was boring and all but well, it is fun to play together.

Switching back to the present, My college started, and I have made a few friends who got gaming laptops and they play FPS games and all, but I am not really into FPS games. I like story games and all, but anyway i don't have anything new to say. If I get Minecraft I will play with my friends. I really want to enjoy this beauty without pirating it. I have pirated the game just to check how well it ran on the MacBook M2 which was given to me by my brother, as I will be doing computer engineering. So, I got my brother's MacBook Air M2 and it can run Minecraft Java pretty well. I have tried the cracked version, but now I want to try the real version.

Java is so good, man. I have seen gameplay from many YouTubers like SB737, Ezy, and BeastBoyShub, etc. Well if you ask why I haven't purchased the game myself, it's because now I will do some part-time work in order to pay my hostel fees and all, and I don't want to ask my parents, as they are already paying for my college fees. So that's my story.

And I am from India, South Asia region, and the game costs around ₹2,600 (around $27.30).

Every time I open Reddit, I just see the notification icon, and sometimes there is A notification which is just news, and sometimes, when the post hits a certain number of viewers, every time I hope that there is a DM. But maybe one day there will be. I am positive anyway.

Thanks for listening to my story, and well, I don't have more to say, so in the next attempts, I will just add something about my college life and all.

Thank you.

[Request] [Microsoft] Minecraft Java & Bedrock

Ok so I live in Egypt. The price of Minecraft Java & Bedrock here used to be around 250 egp which is actually very manageable. I was 100% going to buy it back when it was that cheap, but none of my credit cards or debit cards were working cause of the annoying Microsoft store payment issues we always deal with here. By the time I finally discovered I could just bypass the store and buy a digital activation Key from a local retail site, it was already too late. Why you may ask? Because they decided to completely revoke our regional pricing out of nowhere, so now Minecraft is worth 1963 egp. That's almost an 8x price increase which is just ridiculousssss and completely insane. I definitely, absolutely CANNOT afford this right now.

I've recently got into gaming and I really, really want to play and experience Minecraft for myself. I see so many videos on TikTok and YouTube of people building these absolutely insane bases, massive castles, detailed cities, and crazy redstone contraptions, and it honestly looks like the perfect game to just lose yourself in for hours. I absolutely love the idea of starting with absolutely nothing in the middle of nowhere, just punching a tree for wood, making a basic crafting table, and slowly building up a whole world of my own from scratch. The pure freedom and creativity in this game is just totally unmatched, and I really want to experience that rewarding feeling of progressing from a dirt shack to a massive diamond-armored fortress. There is just so much to do in the game that I know I’ll never get bored. I want to spend hours exploring massive, deep cave systems, finding hidden abandoned mineshafts, collecting rare resources like diamonds and netherite, and trying to survive the night against zombies, skeletons, and creepers. Even the farming, breeding animals, fishing, and trading with villagers looks so fun and addictive. I want to travel to different biomes like deserts, snowy mountains, and jungles, and eventually even gear up to explore the Nether and fight the Ender Dragon.

I also really need a super chill game to just have fun with. Most of the other games I play right now are super hardcore, competitive, stressful, and honestly kinda dark and depressing, so it gets pretty mentally exhausting after a while. Minecraft feels like the perfect cozy game to just relax, wind down, and take a much-needed break from all that high-stakes intensity. I just want a game where I can put on some music or a podcast in the background and just calmly build something cool or terraform a mountain without sweating, dying constantly, or stressing out.

Plus, my friends already play it all the time and they are always hanging out on it. I really want to be able to join their calls, hop into a multiplayer server with them, go on massive mining trips together, share resources, and actually build a shared town or base together. Gaming has been a truly great way for me to connect with people lately, and Minecraft feels like the ultimate game for that kind of social bonding.

But yeah, I simply don't even have this much money to spend on a single game right now with how things are. With the current prices and exchange rates here, it's just completely impossible for me to justify.

I would muchhhh appreciate if someone could buy me a global key or one that is accessible in Egypt.

Thank you so much in advance!!

[Discussion] What do you say on your second time when asking for a game?

Hello GoG.

So, asking for a game often involves asking multiple times, but one thing I always struggle with is to find things to say on the posts following my first that I haven't already said. I wanted to ask how you all do to avoid writing repetitive posts.

Thanks.

I really want to play DELTARUNE, but I can't afford it

I've been wanting to play DELTARUNE for a really long time. Unfortunately, I mostly play free games on Steam because I can't really afford paid games.

I've tried getting it through giveaways/gift requests before, but I haven't had any luck for about a year. 😅

I know this isn't really the place to ask for gifts, so I'm not directly asking anyone to buy it for me. I just wanted to share how badly I want to finally play it.

My Steam profile, if anyone is curious: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198754939181/

Hopefully someday I'll get to play it. ❤️

[Request][Steam] Until Dawn

Hello everybody i hope you are having an amazing week so far! its been a long time since i made a post on here, i was busy %100'ing every resident evil game (yes i am a fan :p) and binge playing every life is strange game

So i've been very obsessed with choice matter story games (Telltale games, life is strange series and detroit become human are my favorites) and recently i went on a life is strange marathon and played every game for the first time and its been hell of a ride. But you know the feeling when you complete something amazing you crave some more but cant figure out on how? That what happened with me after finishing Life is strange series and if you try to search more choice matter game first thing that pops up everytime is Until Dawn. Unfortunately i cant afford the game as a struggling university student and playstation games goes hardly on sales, thats why i wanted to ask in this amazing community if someone wanted to help. I checked the game's reviews and everyone is so positive about the game it feels like its a must play.

Its still too short welp, so here little about me then: I’m a 21 year old turkish girl who absolutely LOVES MILKSHAKES. I am currently studying at the university for my dream job (hope to graduate with good scores hehe), i started learning photography i have a little camera that my father had its not great but gets the job done while i learn more. I wanna have a cat but my mom doesnt want it in the house but luckily im in a city famous for its cats Istanbul! I love going to bosphorus and just feeding them, pet them (i started taking their pics too) some even recognize me when i go to my spot they come running towards me even if i dont give them food they just come for a quick petting session >.<

[Request] [Steam] Cult of the Lamb $9.99

I added this game to my wish list and saw it was on discount. I have been wanting to play it for a while because my buddy had told me that it was one of the best games he’s played in a long time. I like the art style of it. I like the aspect that I can make my own colt and gain power, etc. I’m not entirely sure what this game entails because I told him not to spoil it for me because I told him if it was one of the best experiences with a game he’s had in a long time then I would like to play it for myself. I couldn’t decide which game I wanted to get so I’m just going to post both of them. I have to check the rules before I post the other because total war Warhammer 3 is dope, but this isn’t about that game. Cult of the lamb seems like one of those games that I could play dive into for several hours and not hop off. Whenever I tell him I get this game if somebody gets it for me, he is gonna be so psyched and gonna want tabs on my every decision every time I get a new cult member, etc. I have seen a lot of reviews on this game and a lot of people are saying it’s good and it’s kind of rare that on Steam a game gets overwhelmingly positive reviews. I can’t wait to check this game out for myself and see what all the hype is about. I appreciate all of you donating in this sub and I can’t wait to be one of the donators here in three months.

[Request] [Steam] Persona 5 Royal

https://steamcommunity.com/id/xnashn/

I’m hoping to get a $5 Steam gift card in any currency to help me get Persona 5 Royal. I’m currently only €0.34 short of being able to buy it.

I won a gift card from the lil devil streamer u/Masusc_DAMysticBoon, but after the currency conversion, the balance came out to €17.65, which unfortunately leaves me just a tiny bit short of the game.

Why I want to buy it

I really like turn-based RPGs, and Persona 5 Royal has been a game I’ve wanted to try for a while. Its popularity definitely makes me curious about it, and I also have a friend who keeps telling me that it’s a really good game, which has made me want to experience it for myself even more.

I probably won’t actually play it immediately, since I want to finish Shantae and the Seven Sirens first, which was generously gifted to me by u/_I-I-I_. Still, I’d really like to secure Persona 5 Royal while the current sale is still going on rather than risk missing it.

If anyone is willing to help me out with a gift card, I’d be extremely grateful. Even if nobody is able to, I completely understand and can always wait for the next sale.

Honestly, it’s still really nice seeing people in this community helping others experience games they otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford. That generosity is what makes this subreddit so great.

Thank you for reading, and good luck to everyone else with their own games! 🙏

[REQUEST] [STEAM] Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE

Hi! I'm pretty new to reddit despite of how old is my account and it's my first post here. I hope it won't be too chaotic LOL

I'm mainly playing competitive games but everyone need a break from all the sweat sometimes, right? I'm gacha games enjoyer, or at least i used to be.. Whenever a new one drops there's like 99% chance I'm gonna try it, but usually I'm not sticking around for long cause of the predatory aspects of the games, currently only playing genshin because of nostalgia at this point.

I was really happy to see Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE re-release, but as a paid game, not gacha one like it used to be (i played it for a while but had some serious ping problems with this game). Always wanted to give it a try, learn more about the story, characters since I didn't read the webtoon it's based on since i find it pretty cool!

About the gameplay, i saw my friend play it for a little bit, not much since i didn't want spoilers, immediately fell in love with this game AGAIN, the game looks fast, satisfying, visually it's stunning, effects, characters, boss designs, everything about it is pleasing my eye. Heard it's a grindy towards the end of the game, which is another + for me, the more hours i can put into the game, the better, especially when i get addicted to it.

Sadly can't buy the game for myself as for now, but would love to try my luck outside of gacha games (tehe), have a good day, evening or night! Whenever you're reading this!

[REQUEST][Steam] Capy Castaway

Hi everyone! I want to keep this as short as possible because I don't wanna be a nuisance.

I'm very much into cozy games, with animals most of the times, because I like to spend my time chilling, either by myself or with other people, mostly with my partner, we play a few games together but not always, so it's super nice whenever I find a game that I could play with him beause I enjoy his company while playing.

I played a ton of things like this, such as Little Kitty Big City, Paleo Pines, Loddlenaut, Lil Gator Game (on another pc, I got it for myself now for 1€ luckily, it was one of those 20€ games that I couldn't afford either for a long time), mh stories, etc. This is the type of games that I enjoy the most!

I loved the idea of this game because I could play it with my partner as you can play with 2 people on co-op, one can control the capybara and the other can control the crow and solve the story together instead of alone, it has remote play together feature so no need for 2 copies of the game, just one would be enough for both of us to spend some time together, which I always look forward to as I don't have anyone else to play with and I truly enjoy to play literally anything with him.

I played the demo before the full game released and I immediately thought about buying this game thinking that it was gonna be cheaper, but sadly I can't afford it, I don't have a job to afford that kind of price nor my partner does :( we're both students and we don't get any money at all, maybe and just maybe, on our birthdays or christmas.

So if anyone would like to gift it to me it would surely make my day SO MUCH because I really wanted to play the full game and I fell in love with the capy and crow characters, they're just so cute!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, I appreciate it!
