Title says it all really, but now that we’ve had a few pretty varied singles, what’s your predictions on where metal/alt etc will go after this? We’ve seen how I Let It In changed things, will this album have the effect? Or have Loathe aimed for something so unique to them that everyone else will stay in their lane?

For those who have some expertise in mixing, could you perhaps advise on any techniques/specifics on getting close to Sean’s sound?
I’ve done as much research as I can; Checked out Nail the Mix, most everything George Lever’s put out, Nolly’s stuff, even dug into the inspirations behind the drum sound for I Let It In (in particular Eric Valentine’s techniques and the album he did for Death From Above 1979, which is one of my fave bands anyways). I think in my novice level of experience my ears aren’t identifying what makes that sound and what to do to achieve it.
Currently using GGD Invasion and I’m finding it’s lacking that thumpy/full/dry/dynamic sound. I know my way around all the obvious tools and terminology, but I’d love to know what the folks who’ve gone for that sound did to achieve it.
