Is this too much for 1 semester?

Is this too much for 1 semester?

My school is very nice to give me a degree plan of the classes I will need to take and register. I was a dual credit student so I had all core classes completed, I’m planned to graduate in 3 years instead of 4.

This is my first semester of my senior years. Is it too much for 1 semester?

Don’t get me wrong, this looks like a very fun semester but since I plan to apply for a PhD program in a “better” school, I think this might affect my gpa negatively and also maybe destroy my mental health assuming it hasn’t died by then.

Somehow made 0 friends…

Hello, I’m a freshman physics major and somehow had made no friends so far. 😔

To be honest I commute so I haven’t been staying for the afternoon school events like the after party on Monday. Despite that I have been interacting with people all over and made no progress.

I do plan to come for the activity fair next Wednesday and interacting with more people tomorrow before, during and after class

Also: It’s hot outside, be careful everyone (I keep feeling like I’m about to pass out😅)

How can I learn and experience the difference between theoretical physics and experimental physics?

Hello, I am an upcoming freshman (undergraduate) physics major. I know it’s still early to be deciding on what I want to do, but I already have an idea.

I’m seriously interested in particle physics, and I’ve already been accepted to join a research group centered in neutrinos starting fall semester. But I want to learn and also experience what theoretical physics would be like, since the group I joined is experimental.

New Physics Major

Hello Everyone!

I’m an upcoming Physics major (undergraduate) excited for University life. My high school was a more art oriented school so all math and science was self-taught.

I just wanted to say that I’m both scared and excited for this opportunity and hope to meet like minded people. For any STEM majors, where do y’all usually hang out to meet people?

I’m glad to be a new member of this community and hope to meet some new friends!

New to Physics and Excited

Hello everyone!

I’m an upcoming undergrad physics major. My high school was a more ‘art’ concentrated school so in terms of math and science, I had to self-teach it.

I fell in love with physics cause of the pretty galaxies and black holes (I think like most). I’m mentally not ready for this path of science (cause I suck at math) but excited at the same time!

I just wanted to say, hello to this wonderful community and hope y’all are ready for another brain to help out.
