The 4 AM cancellation should come with emotional damages

Set three alarms. Made coffee quietly. Opened the lesson room at 3:58. My student had cancelled while I was asleep.

I have been teaching online for eight years and this still feels like being stood up by someone who lives inside a browser tab.

The worst part is that you cannot even go back to sleep because your body has already accepted that the day has started. Please tell me other teachers have a ridiculous no show story.

Absolutely disgusting k3 took 7 hours to make one PPT and burned 60% of my Vivace allowance

I’m on Kimi’s Vivace plan at $199 per month, and I genuinely don’t understand how anyone uses the Kimi Work desktop app for serious work it is TRASH.

I gave Kimi K3/Swarm a PowerPoint task. It spent seven hours working on something that ChatGPT completed in around ten minutes. The result wasn’t noticeably better either.

That single task also burned through roughly 60% of my entire weekly allowance.

For context, I’m a heavy user across the CLIs for Claude, Codex, Kimi, and MiniMax. I understand that complicated agentic tasks can take time, and I’m not expecting everything to finish instantly. But this didn’t feel like careful processing. It felt like severe throttling wrapped in premium branding.

At $199 per month, “priority access” should not mean being placed slightly closer to the front of the queue at the DMV.

The swarm apparently spent seven hours holding meetings, forming a steering committee, and debating the font on slide three.

Kimi can be useful through the CLI, but the Kimi Work desktop experience is painfully slow, inefficient, and nowhere near premium. I honestly don’t know how people use it regularly without exhausting their allowance while the loading screen develops sentience.

Has anyone found a workflow where K3 or Swarm through Kimi Work is genuinely fast and practical?

Where to start?

How do you manage students? Like remembering them all? The things we went over in class the homework sent etc? Giving the feedback starting out and feeling a bit lost

Sub bonus / Post bonus

Sorry to disappoint but 99% sure it won’t be today/tonight depending on where you are (not the next 24 hours) as yesterday and today there have been 2 code drops on X.com usually they don’t do this on same day as dropping bonus.
