Why Nam Vegan Restaurant
On our travels through Thailand we stumbled on the most incredible place. Nestled in a tiny bay on the lovely island of Koh Phangan, Thailand - we found Why Nam Resort!
You can only access this gem by boat or truck (down a jungle road), which adds to the charm of the beach resort.
This place is just simply magical. It’s surrounded in lush jungle and is decorated with the most beautiful gardens. It sits on its very own beach with no other resorts in the bay. You really feel like you’ve entered a parallel reality.
The restaurant is a cozy Boho style that feels organic and clean. You’re greeted by the most wonderful staff. They make you feel so welcome. I guess it’s easy to be kind when you’re working in paradise!
We sat down and ordered a meal. I had no idea it was a vegan restaurant. (I’m not vegan) The food was absolutely spectacular. There was so many items to choose from and they offered something for almost every dietary restriction.
The portions were large and generous. It’s hard to believe they can offer so much for such a little price. The cocktails were delicious. Wonderful music filled the air.
We stayed for five days, during that time they had a dance party on the beach. It was during the day and a very nice chill vibe. Totally unlike most of the parties you might find on the island. This one was mixed ages, happy vibe, and felt safe.
I can go on and on and on about this place. I highly recommend anyone travelling to Koh Phangan, do yourself a favour and stay a while. You will not be disappointed! Get yourself some food, have some cocktails, hop on a paddle board, and stay for the dance party. You won’t regret it!
