Ole Miss or Alabama?

I’m transferring into one of these schools for one year + another year for a masters in finance. Which one should I choose, not considering financial reasons?

Planning to major in Finance if that wasn’t obvious.

Transfer for 5th Year?

I know it sounds crazy...

I am currently a senior at a very badly ranked university in Virginia (you can maybe guess which one lol) and will be going into a 5th year (changed major during junior year). I have had multiple pretty prestigious internships, good grades, good club involvement, etc.

The reason I'm thinking of transferring is the name brand of the school I attend, it is very divisive and not a school I'm proud to attend, and thus get a diploma from. I am looking to maybe transfer for my 5th year to a transfer friendly school who is willing to only require 30 residency credits.

Am I stupid for doing this? Money isn't a huge issue as I've managed to avoid debt throughout college so far. However, I do think that this is "weird" and will get judged for doing so...

I would appreciate any advice greatly!

Some more info in case it helps:

  1. Business: Finance Major intended

  2. VA resident

  3. 3.4 GPA 3.6 Major GPA, 1330 SAT from 2022
