IAE still bitter about Covid financially?

Is anyone else still upset about the financial outcome from Covid?

When Covid hit I had just started working my first engineering job, and shortly after the stay home mandates and whatnot, my job laid me off. During the time it was basically impossible to find another job - and to mention again at the time I had only had one decent job my entire life, I had zero chance for an emergency fund. This led to me falling behind on my home utilities which led to hitting my collections on my credit. Fast forward to now and it’s all paid off but it truly left a bitter taste. It is one of the only times in my life I felt I basically got robbed and there wasn’t really much I could do about it, and even though the collections are paid off they’re obviously still on my credit report until roughly 2027.
