Topwater Bass On Gurgler Flies

Been tying my own gurgler flies and doing quite well with the topwater bite. These fish are from a neighborhood pond over the last few days.
Using a 7wt Redington bass field kit that this group helped point me towards and it has been a blast!

Neighborhood Pond Bass On My Own Gurgler Fly

Been getting better with my presentation and managed to get this one early morning chasing bait up shallow in our neighborhood pond. Size 2 white/pink gurgler fly I tied just the day before.

Seeking Feedback On Bass Topwater Ties

Hello All. I am extremely new to fly tying and fly fishing. I live 4 hours from the nearest trout fishing so most of my efforts will be on bass fishing. Thought to post some of first attempts at gurgler and stealth bomber flies to see if anyone might be able to provide some feedback? I’ve struggled some figuring out the proportions of the flies. These are all tied on #2 B10S hooks.

The heads folded over are meant to mimic what i found online as the stealth bomber, the flat front as the gurgler. And the final picture with the bass was an accident where the front rolled on me. It actually created a quite good popping action so I’m not sure of this is an actual usage?

Appreciate any and all feedback as I get started on my journey. Thanks!

I’m on mobile and can’t seem to figure out how to add a flair.

Recently started my fly fishing journey with panfish and have moved up to bass. I caught these two on my own gurgler style pattern mimicking some online tutorials.

A question for help! Twice I’ve had my triple surgeons knot break during the hookset with a bass. I was using the leader that came with my 7wt rod (only about 5ft now) and added a 14lb mono end that was another 4ft piece. I had caught fish on the same setup immediately prior, then the next hookset it would snap at the knot. Can anyone point me in the direction of why this might happen? I do wet the knot before cinching. Thanks!
