Dealer left off my tow hook cover and can't get it together to get me a new one.
So I'm just telling a story here. This happened to me but it's ridiculous honestly... So my 2017 Alltrack decided to crap the bed with the DSG right at 100,000 mi, sent it to the dealer, $4000 and a month later I get it back. That's a whole other story... Anyway. This is the dead of winter January... In Maine. I don't notice that the tow hook cover is missing for several months. So I look all over for it, don't find it, ask the dealer to give me a new one. They ignore me. So I call them again, they order it, don't tell me it comes in. I call and the girl says oh yeah we got to paint it. So the paint guys are on vacation so we'll get back to you on that. So I'm driving by one day and I stop in and say hey where's my piece... They hold up the black piece and say oh it needs to be painted. Isn't your car gray. I said yes. It's great it needs to be painted because that one's black... They said okay . A few weeks later I call and say hey what's going on... They say oh it didn't need to be painted. We sent it to you... I said first of all that's black. My car is not black, I'll just send it back. .. And now it's been a week and I don't have it. I called the dealer again and he says yeah that one doesn't need to be painted. Your Vin says yours should be black. I said you and I sat there and looked at it and it's black and my car isn't... He said he'll look into it... So I know my car is gray. The bumper is gray.. that part is gray. But I looked up another gray alltrack and it has a black bottom and it's piece will be black. No I know the problem but to try to get them to fix it. Oh my goodness it's not going to be fun.
Tldr... The Volkswagen dealership in Southern Maine has bad service and is unable to tell a difference between two different gray cars. I'm fighting to get what I want.
