Has anyone ever noticed that in some shots in episode 10, Speirs and Winters have three stars on their jump wings like Nixon despite only having participated in two combat jumps? When looking at Nixon’s uniform, it looks like he has 3 starts plus an arrow head device.
When I was a kid, I distinctly remember my mom telling me that there were more than four attacks planned for 9/11. However, those other planes did not make it off the ground due to air traffic in the nation being grounded. The hijackers presumably would have disappeared into the wind after the grounding. She told me this around 2004-2005, so it was well before the BS TMZ fifth plane documentary.
She said Flight 93 would have hit the White House or The Capitol building. The foiled fifth plane would have hit the other. A possible sixth plane would have hit another target.
The only evidence I can find for this is a 2004 NY Times article explaining that 9/11 was originally supposed to involve ten planes, but was quickly replanned to only involve the four.

This has me contemplating many questions:
Could this be chalked up to post 9/11 American speculation and angst?
Could she have read the NY Times article and her imagination ran with it?
Why would they plan to hit The Capitol and not the White House or vise versa?
I know there were a lot of rumors around this time, just wondering if anyone else remembers them and if there could be any meat on the bones to any of them.
