So I just got into dirt racing this year and I’m officially hooked. I’m thinking about making the trip down to the Chili Bowl in January. Is there anything I should know about it. What should I expect?
Saw a few people getting shadow boxes to display their die casts. So figured I’d try it to see how I like them. I like it and it’ll do until I can get a few Carney cases. Plus had to show off the Rowdy corner that will hopefully keep growing. Now it’s time to buy more to fill out the rest of the space.
I really like what Jr’s idea is about the All-Star race and to have all 3 series in it. You’ll still have the normal guys racing and it can bring new eyes to the drivers/teams in the other series’s. I just want to know what you guys think about this format.
I’d have the Top 10 in points in each series automatically qualify for the All-star race
Then I would have each series to have a fan vote and the driver who wins would automatically qualify
Then I would have an open race with two 75 lap stages. The best finisher in each series for both stages would move on into the All-Star race
Then the driver with the fastest Lap time in the open race would be the final entry and would round out the field to 40 drivers.
You would have 13 drivers from each series plus one bonus driver.
For the actual All-Star race it’d just be the best finisher for each series would win there’s series prize money reward.
Cup series-$1,000,000
O’Reilly-$750,000
Truck-$500,000
I’m not expecting everybody to like the concept but I think it’d be fun to try it one year and see how it turns out.
