Bob Weikert Memorial at Port Royal Speedway

Bob Weikert Memorial at Port Royal Speedway

Sometimes Mother Nature can be a bitch. I can't make it to Port Royal this weekend, I have other shooting commitments, but I sure hope the weather forecast changes dramatically so everyone can enjoy themselves.

How far have Northeast Big Block Modifieds actually wandered?

This is an odd question, but how far outside of the Northeast have big block mods raced other than Florida.

SEAT QUESTION

Using this seat for an off road buggy, I know it’s not ideal but I got it for a killer deal and I’m on a budget. The hip width is pretty good, but the rib bolstering (highlighted in yellow) feels like it is digging into my arms pretty good. I know it’s not in the buggy yet so it’s not final wheel location, but I don’t see it changing much.

Is this seat simply not going to work, or is this normal for this style seat? Any remedy like adding padding over the aluminum frame?

Thanks!

Dirt Late Model Racer Suspended Two Years After I-75 Raceway Incident - FloRacing

I understand getting heated in the moment, but using your car as a weapon should never be tolerated and I'm glad he's facing the consequences of his actions.

I do not, however, agree with DQing Hedgecock because his dad, who was *not* part of Cory's crew that night, hit the kill switch on the guy's car. Very questionable move in my personal opinion.

I'd love to know your thoughts.

*Link to Cory Hedgecock's fb post with video of the infield incident will be in the comments.*

World of Outlaws at Williams Grove - Night Two

Two nights of great action saw the PA Posse and the Outlaws race to a tie. The Posse won night one with Kasey Kahne subbing for the injured Anthony Macri; the Outlaws came back last night with David Gravel going wire-to-wire.

An Evening with David Gravel at Williams Grove

David goes wire-to-wire last night to bag the Morgan Cup win at Williams Grove Speedway. So, the weekend ends up with a tie between PA Posse and World of Outlaws.

So I got a Floracing subscription…

With the intention of watching lower tier NASCAR series, but I have gotten really into dirt late model racing and would love to attend a race. It’s everything racing should be. All I’ve ever been to are asphalt races, and I read that there are some rules of etiquette. For example, no one stands up during a caution, in NASCAR we are trained to do this lol. What are some other tips? I’d like to take our son into the pits, and he loves getting autographs, is it like NHRA where it’s cool to ask when the drivers are caught up, or do they do organized autograph sessions like NASCAR. Pardon my ignorance, but I have at least 13 NASCAR sanctioned tracks within a 3 hour drive, only 1 local dirt track about an hour away. Any tips on these or anything I might have not thought of would be appreciated! TIA!

Been trying out a 360 In-Car Cam in the modified.. Nearly lost it last night. Luckily, when we built the new body, the doors are one inch higher than the decking.

Bailey Miller rides two wheels and somehow saves it at Mudlick Valley Raceway

Bailey Miller made an incredible save during Ohio Valley SCDRA heat race action at Mudlick Valley Raceway on May 9, getting up on two wheels and somehow keeping it pointed in the right direction during the Starvin’ Marvin 25.

Hello fellow dirt fanatics!

I watch mainly sprint cars, and in doing so there are like 10+ different schedules I have to check to see what may be racing that day. Does anybody know of an "All Encompassing" sprint car schedule that tracks every sprint car race for the year? That would be beyond helpful.

Thank you!
