Bike rental with tag along child trailer in the Valley

I read that one has to line up at 7am to the bike stand in order to rent a bike with child trailer because they go fast. Is that true for a weekday in July? (Specifically next week, after this holiday weekend).

Anything I should be prepared for with renting bikes in the valley with child trailer? Thanks!

Is there any traffic driving from Valley to Tioga Rd on a July weekday early afternoon? like 2-3pm.

How about driving from Valley to Glacier Point and parking at Trailhead at that time? Thanks!

What do you think of my visit plan?

Hi based on the Mod’s great information and my personal experience from past visits (without kids) I am making these tentative plans and want someone to check to see if sounds feasible?

When: July Wed/Thurs full day with possible Tue evening. Staying right outside of the park on 120. This would not be during the week with holiday.

Who: my family (me husband and our 2 year old), our 5 elders varying in their 70’s, not super active. Most active would be my dad who is prob at the level of hiking Taft point (not that he’s gonna really hike it)

This is my tentative plan:

• Tue 3-4pm *maybe* go into the west side of the valley (el capitan, bridal vile falls, tunnel view, valley view, cathedral rocks etc), driving.

• Wed full day: in the valley, snatch a parking at 8am and plan to walk and take shuttle explore east valley (mirror lake, cooks meadow, superintendent bridge, swing bridge, lower Yosemite falls, sentinel beach).

[Question: where is a good place to nap my child mid day? Car is prob too hot; I could carry her but anywhere with plenty places to sit with shades and not too much foot traffic?]

• Thursday full day: can’t decide between Tioga road or glacier pt road. If tioga road, plan to walk the relatively flat trails near Tuolumne meadow, maybe go to Tenaya lake to chill. If glacier pt road, my husband and I (and toddler) are considering maybe getting dropped off to hike sentinel dome and cut to glacier pt while our family elders visit Washburn point and glacier point proper. And we’d meet at glacier point. Is the glacier pt road plan too crazy or is that reasonable? I’m thinking the glacier pt road plan I have takes at least half a day? If I squeeze the glacier pt road plan into Tue afternoon is that too crazy? (To make room for Wed doing Tioga rd) lol. If we squeeze in to Tue afternoon then my child can nap in the car on the way from valley to glacier point. thanks for reading up to this point!
