Driving Perth to Kent A1 or M6 on a Saturday??

Embarking on another road trip to see some family at the end of June. Driven down a few times but always the same way and always during the week. Go A9, M9, M80, M73, M74, M6, M1, M25, M20. Usually get quite lucky and miss heavy traffic completely until Birmingham and M25.

Going to go down this time early Saturday morning probably leaving around 5:30/6am and aim to arrive around 2:30pm/3pm and feel like going a different way for a change of scenery. Contemplated going M90 down to Edinburgh, city bypass until A1 and then A1/A1M, A14, M11, M25 and M20. How is the A1 on weekends, I know the road until Newcastle will be relatively clear that early on a Saturday but what about the rest of the way. Never driven on the A1 south of Newcastle. Will it be quicker, any points of delays or decent places to stop for food/coffee any help would be massively appreciated. 😊

Steph and Andrew series 1 episode 8

One of the funniest scenes I find from the show has to be the episode where Steph sings to the class in French and Andrew confronts her about it

Andrew: Don’t you think that it was a bit inappropriate?

Steph: What singing a song? I got class participation didn’t I?

Andrew: The idea of a song is fine I meant the referencing your own body parts

Steph: Are you serious?

Andrew: Was mentioning your derrière really necessary?

Makes me laugh so much every single time 😂😂

Opinions on Ruby Fry??

What was everyone thoughts on Ruby? I didn’t like her character at first. Found her very snobby, rude and judgemental although I did grow to like her come later on in the series. Loved the way she disowned Max in series 5 episode 10 considering how much she sucked up to him.

I really enjoyed the story line regarding her mental health difficulties. I thought she portrayed it very well. Was a great story line for the time as mental health wasn’t that well understood back then. Seen a right different side to her then was glad it all worked out for her in the end.

Come series 6 I really grew to like Ruby. I loved how caring she was to Grantly even going to the extent of making him meals and cleaning his house without him knowing I felt that was so nice of her. She still did have her not so good moments when she was horrible to the Polish caretaker however she did redeem herself massively.
