September Camping and Fishing!
Hey guys,
A friend and I are looking to come to Oregon in September for about a week to camp and hopefully catch the salmon run.
We have some experience fly fishing for trout in Oklahoma/Colorado, but I'd imagine we'll need heavier fly rods, so I'm looking for some general advice there and suggestions on where to go and any notable regulations to keep in mind that might not be obvious to someone new to salmon.
And we're hoping to do some dispersed camping, so any info on that would be greatly appreciated, as well. It's not super common where we live since most land here is privately owned.
I have read that September can be a concerning time for wild fires and there are often burn bans, so gear suggestions would be welcome, too.
