Real? Or…
Wanted to see if y’all might help me determine if this Runwell is a fake or not. I’ve been going to school on a lot of your posts, how to spot the obvious fakes, etc… and I think this is legit. Obviously, the only way to know for sure is to have it checked out by Shinola, but… 🙄
The two things that give me pause are:
I’ve not been able to find that serial number (I have a conversation with my buddy Claude who does the research for me) and
The back reads “U.S.A. Movement with Swiss Parts” and while I’ve seen some with that written, newer ones all say “Swiss and Imported Parts” instead.
In the plus category, the shape of the lugs seem to match what I’ve seen in store, the markings and engraving all line up to something authentic. I’ve tried contacting the seller about it but so far, no word back. It’s on Poshmark, so it’s not an eBay find, and while I feel a little better about buying it there (there are protections against fakes), if there’s something obvious I’d rather know about it now.
LOVE this color scheme, so I’m really hoping it’s legit.
