Found some cheap wheels and tires and want opinions.

I found some konig oversteers 18x8 with 225/45 tires for cheap on market place. I’m wondering if they would work for hard driving in the summer or should I just wait till next year when I can afford a full wheel tire set up?
Edit: turns out the tires are 225/40r18

Looking for an auto cross car

I’m currently looking at an old beat up Honda civic for cheap to get started in racing. I have no experience driving on a track so I don’t want to use my current daily. The civic I found is a 93 hatch with the B18 dropped in, full exhaust system, intake, coil overs, wheels and tires. The issue is it snapped the timing belt and I have no idea how bad it is yet. I just want to know is it worth my time and money to fix this or is it not worth it at all.
