In almost every Arena match I have played, there is a very common correlation between the teams placing last, and those same teams primarily building stat shards only.

Am I missing something here? I haven't played League/Arena in a while, and coming back I am so very confused by these strange stat only builds. From what I have seen - they do not work!

I did try one stat only game, however I managed to Bravery Roll a Swain and got quite lucky with my augments and prismatics, so im not quite confident in attributing that to the stat build.
