How Do I Document a Supplier Error (aside from a SCAP)

Our supplier messed up and I sent them a SCAP, but our buyer also wants a CAP from us. How do I document root cause being supplier error? They sent us a certification of compliance that said they had properly treated the products, but upon testing by the buyer, they were not correct. We sent the product back to the supplier to be redone. How do I handle the CAR on our end?

Printing Labels in WMS FIORI

UPDATE: My pop-up blocker was blocking me from seeing the file with the correctly sized labels. They still are formatted a little too big for us to do it how we used to, so I will be getting a thermal label printer instead still probably.

Well, it finally happened...they locked us out of VSM, and said we have to use the new system. Of course they haven't worked out all the kinks, so I still can't print labels like we are used to doing. I need to print 1.33x4 labels on sheets of 14 each. Has anyone successfully been able to set this up?

If you had to write a posting for your job, what would you put?

I'm an office manager for a machine shop, but I may decide to switch companies, including to a new type of business. Pretend you are hiring for your own position. What would you put for the job requirements and description?

Best Books/Resources for ISO 9001?

I have taken a couple Udemy courses with Quality Gurus, and I have a copy of ISO 9001:2015, as well as "ISO 9001:2015 In Plain English" and "Internal Auditing In Plain English". What other books and resources do you recommend for continuing education?

Responding to a Major NC; Cause Analysis

We got a NC in our recent audit for our calibration records not having been complete. It wasn't complete at last audit either, so it was a major NC. The reason we didn't do it is my boss (shop owner) said we didn't need to, even though I pointed out that we did for ISO reasons and because it's good practice.

What can I put for cause analysis? For corrective action I have updated the records to reflect the missing info, and am recalibrating everything.

What standards are you using for calibration?

This may be the wrong place for this question, but I am not sure where else to ask.

I'm the office manager at a small (5 employees) machine shop and we are ISO 9001 certified. I was put in charge of quality control (lucky me!) and I am still trying to figure it all out.

For our inspection tools, what standards should we be using for calibration? We have over 200 inspection tools and I want to make sure this is done properly.

VSM FIORI- I can't print item labels correctly

Not sure if it's Fiori or me, but I can't get it to print item labels. It gives me one giant label no matter what I put in the boxes. Can someone help? Screenshot for clarity.

Can't download drawings in TDMT

Is anyone else having this issue? We have been awarded the contract, but TDMT still says that we cannot download the drawings. I have reached out to the :help: desk several times but they just tell me it's an ongoing issue and they're working on it. Meanwhile we can't get jobs started.

New Doc, Same Treatment

I'm 40, and I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 15. I just started seeing a new doctor and guess what they prescribed to treat my PCOS?

METFORMIN. Nothing else. Just Metformin. I have been on Metformin 3 times with no changes. Can we really have had no progress in 25 years? No new treatment? I guess I am just frustrated.

I'm 40 and want to finish my degree, but in what?

I dropped out of college because I was an idiot when I was 19/20. I went back this year and I need to choose a major, but I can't decide what I want to do. When I was young it was education, or philosophy. I loved philosophy, but IDK what I would do with a degree in philosophy unless I got my PhD, which I don't really want to do. I was leaning towards psychology recently, but now I don't know if I want to be a therapist or do research, and I don't know that I want to pursue my Masters anyways. I have experience in retail, real estate, quality control, and right now I am an office manager for a tiny machine shop. I don't need to make the MOST money, but I do want to be able to find a job in whatever field I pursue.

▲ 14 r/CMMC

I'm an office manager for a small (6 employees including myself) manufacturer. Owner told me I am in charge of getting us CMMC compliant. What I have gathered from a DLA webinar and reviewing a couple websites and our contracts is that we need to be level 2 certified. I don't know where to start. I emailed our local manufacturers association to see if they have any resources. I don't have any IT background, so I am pretty sure we are going to need 3rd party help from the get-go, but how do I know who to use?

Literally any help so I don't have a panic attack is welcome.
