Saw it and immediately fell in love. Saw the price and thought "no way you can't... ". Thought about it for an hour. Finally decided to not give a fuck and simply order it #yolo

Are there normal jobs in this city?

Hi all, Non-Spanish here, I've been living in Barcelona for 13+ years and I must admit it feels impossible to build a real career here (when not being a data engineer or developer). So many (Spanish included) friends around me are just drained by so many years of BS they experienced while working in the city.

Low wages, hire and fire, continuing rotation. Managers who are amateurs without a clue who play power games. And even if you land a seemingly nice job, within years the company seems to either be fucked up by investors, change direction completely, having layoffs or developing a toxic culture. Everybody I know got fired at least once in Bcn.

Next to that, it seems like companies preferably hire cheap juniors who stay only 2-3 years and then hop off or leave the country. Being in my mid-30s I'd love to have some real career progress or at least some stability. I love Barcelona, but the job market is just so competitive and most salaries are so low compared to the rental prices.

Should I just give up and leave or is anybody having a nice experience at work (if so - which company?) and can stop me from spiraling lol

Thanks

Edit: I'm fluent in Spanish and have basic Catalán. However, this doesn't change the job topic.
