Canon T50 Repair?
Hello I was recently gifted this Canon T50 by a family member and it has clearly gone untouched for many many years. Obviously there is some significant corrosion and the battery appears to be totally melded into the slot. My family member explained he tried a few things to get the AA battery out but to no avail. The lens seems to be in nice shape and I plan on using it on my AE-1 at least. Essentially I have come to seek advice on if it’s even worth the attempt at using some kind of neutralizing agent to try and worm the battery out or if it appears to be a lost cause. I know these are relatively cheap and nothing “special” but it was an extremely kind gesture from my grandfather and if possible I would like to fix this up to use and preserve. I am relatively new to film photography and cameras as a whole so thank you in advance to anyone who might spare some knowledge or tips if you’ve been in this situation.
