Is the Kodak Snapic A1 35mm Film Camera good?
I’m thinking of buying it for an upcoming vacation…
Florida humidity x film cameras
Should I be worried about bringing my film cameras to Florida for two weeks? I can’t imagine not having them but I’m also worried it’s going to cause some problems with my cameras sooner than later.
Recs for upgrading from OM-10?
My OM10 is basically falling apart and no longer feels worth fixing up. Does anyone have recs beyond the Olympus family for an upgrade?
I’d already been considering the OM2 as a level up but I’m curious about models from other brands to explore. I’ve only used Olympus cameras so honestly not sure where to start with let’s say Canon or Pentax.
I’m ideally looking for something on the “starter pro level” end. And I have a soft spot for anything from the late 70s-80s.

I’ve changed all batteries but the main body won’t turn on
Help don’t know what film to buy
Hello I found this camera when I moved houses nine years ago and just fully started looking at it (putting batteries and trying the film that was left over with it.) it had an expired roll of Kodak t400CN and when I look it up all I can find is expired packs of it not sure what to do or if there’s film I could substitute. Help pls!
I know how to load it and everything I just need to buy non-expired film and am I looking it up wrong???
I shot a solo coffee spec ad with a minimal setup. Would love some cinematography feedback!
Heyaaa!!
I’m an India-based filmmaker, and I created a solo spec commercial for Blue Tokai coffee. Since I was working all alone, I ended up wearing all the hats—writing, lighting, shooting, editing, and even acting in it myself.
Given my limited resources, my main goal was to see how much production value and mood I could squeeze out of a very small setup. I really tried to focus on intentional framing, cinematic lighting, and visual storytelling to set the right atmosphere.
Here is a quick look at the tools I used to bring it together:
The Gear:
Nikon Z6III paired with a 28-75mm f/2.8 lens.
Kept the lighting simple with a Godox SL60W and a tiny Hiffin 7W.
The Look (Post-Production):
Cut and finished entirely in DaVinci Resolve.
Used Dehancer for the color grade, aiming for a cinematic feel with a Fujifilm 3513 emulation.
I’m really looking to grow as a visual storyteller, so I would genuinely love to hear your thoughts. Whether it’s about the lighting choices, the pacing, or the overall vibe—please don't hold back on the constructive criticism!

(I've also attached a few of my favorite stills above so you can see the framing!)
ps- This isn't my work. I posted this on behalf of u/date_007. He's new to reddit, doesn't have enough karma and still finding his way through this app (I mean- reddit can be intimidating for beginners- there's just so much going on hehe). So I figured that I'd post for him :). Happy watching!
Pentax Spotmatic
Inherited it from a distant relative from another country, I'm amazed at how it is still working perfectly fine ! Definitely my favorite film camera, it is such a pleasure to use, especially with the Super Takumar 55mm. Asahi Pentax engineers knew what they were doing back then !
Best 135mm lens
Hello! I have my first Minolta on the way and I wanted to get the best Minolta 135mm lens I can afford. With the 50mm it was easy to find info on which models/generation were best and how to tell the different generations apart visually. But I can’t find as definitive of info for the 135mm. From what I can tell (and from inferring based on the 50mm lens consensus) the Minolta MC Tele Rokkor-PF 135mm f/2.8 seems to be best. But I don’t know for sure and I’m not sure which generation of it is best (there seem to be multiple generations like with the MC Rokkor-PG for the 50mm.)
Any help would be greatly appreciate, thanks!
I need help with PNS Cameras suggestions
I'm new and I'm looking for a PnS film camera. I made this list of the ones that I want (with great similar features like ISO and f 2.8 f 3.5 I've checked), and their appearances are kinda what I'd like to have (I don't like the bread-shaped ones).
- Canon Sureshot/Sureshot Ace
- Konica C35 AF2/AF2D
- Minolta AF-S
- Minolta Hi-Matic AF/AF2/AF2-M
- Ricoh AF-2/AF-4/AF-5
- Olympus C-AF Quartzdate
- Yashica Auto Focus Motor
- Fujica Auto 7 Date/QD
- Fujica Flash AF
May I have some suggestions about what to get and what I shouldn't get? I'd like to hear more about you guys experiences of using one of these and the pros and cons of them, thank youuuuuuu.
(also me welcome all other recommendations of pns cam for newbies, really appreciateee ^^)
Getting into film photography with my grandpa's old cameras
Zenit SLR Cameras
My collection of Zenit SLR Cameras, dating from 1955 to 1970.
Bit the bullet, been obsessed~
Bought my first film camera, already shot two rolls full as practise, should definitely learn the basics of composition, lightning etc before, but I couldn't help it haha! Love this li'l machine already!
new to slrs—film pulling yellow
I have recently decided to start shooting SLRs. I managed to score a canon ae-1 program for $20 off Facebook Marketplace. I am sure it could use a good CLA, but was looking for some advice. Both photos are taken on two different kinds of film stock and yet still pull yellow-green (which makes me feel like its not underexposed ?). Could this be a lighting issue or perhaps a haze issue from lack of maintenance?

Hello everybody, hope all of ya are doing great.
I have a couple of cameras, and I was wondering the best tricks to cleam em well. I mean like the outer parts at least, nothing that implies opening the Camara, nor more technical stuff.
Thanks to everyone who participates.
should i still use flash even when shooting outside?
hi im new to film and the camera im using is pentax zoom 280p and the roll im using is kodak colorplus 200
Film ripped half way through winding it back! 😫
Has anyone else experienced this? I feel like I did something wrong because it was incredibly difficult to roll the film back, and it snapped halfway through. I genuinely can’t recall which way I was winding it back, but could this happen if I went counterclockwise?
