Assault at a establishment
I’m posting on behalf of someone I know who experienced this recently. They were at a well known establishment in our town and they got assaulted and sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries but a permanent scar and severe PTSD. The establishment claims that their cameras were not recording at the time of the incident (it happened INSIDE the place) and security as well as staff did absolutely nothing. They continued to let people into the building and did not even attempt to help the person injured (and yes they knew he was injured, they saw it).. my friend is looking for advice on how to go about seeking a lawyer to get help with suing the establishment for negligence, failure to provide footage/information, allowing the person who did this to take a bottle of alcohol into a part of the establishment that was not allowed where the assault occurred (a nightclub fwiw) , PTSD, and several other things.. I can’t recall them all but anyways, I’m wondering who or what the best course of action is?
