Non healing cavity — anyone been to healing hands clinic in India?

Hi all anyone with a similar experience can help? I am getting treatment by dr ashwin porwal at healing hands clinic in india. I had a transphincteric fistula w 1 o clock opening. Internal opening has healed and 3/4 external wounds healed perfectly. The last external wound is not healing for 6 months. I just underwent another debridement 1 month ago where he cored it out to restart the healing but it’s starting to plateau again. I dont know why this is happening other than that the wound is close to the intersection of my vagina and rectum tho there is no connection.

I have no crohns and am otherwise young and healthy. Can someone shed light? He says he doesnt see anything unhealthy or any pathology as to why its not healing. Does it just take more time?

How deep was your wound and how long did it take to heal after a fistulotomy?

Mine started about 3cm deep now 4 weeks out about 1.5 cm but still feel like it’s plateauing. Any advice?

Has anyone here had trouble healing their abscess cavity?

My fistula and internal connection to the rectum is gone, but I am left with an abscess cavity, but still needs to heal. it healed originally but is now stalling and my surgeon just had to debride it…

It was a very large and deep cavity to start off with probably more than 5 cm now is around 3 cm deep. Did anyone here have issues with healing their abscess cavity and having the wound stall and stop healing? Is there anything else that you did? I already tried hyperbaric oxygen therapy and I am otherwise healthy and young with no diabetes no smoking, etc. I also get the wound cleaned every other day. Basically he went in and did another fistulotomy 2 weeks ago to reset the wound

Help. Anal fistula wound stopped healing and i had to get debridement again

Hi all I had an anal fistula that i got laser surgery for. The fistula is healed, there’s no more connection to my rectum. But I was left with a huge open wound / abscess cavity after my surgery in january. Basically it healed in may to what you see in the first photo but this one spot that was still 2cm deep refused to heal. My surgeon went in and debrided it again and basically just cut away a lot of scar and now the wound is massive again (current status after debridement is the second photo). Whitish thing is just a gel foam.

Anyone have any idea why the wound just stopped healing? I’m otherwise healthy. I don’t have inflammatory bowel disease and I am not diabetic or smoker. I also have already tried hyperbaric oxygen therapy please I’m so desperate. I go to wound clinic for three times weekly cleaning as well. My surgeon watches it (as an alternative to packing the wound) and if it’s closing too fast he opens it up again

Fibrotic tissue around fistulotomy wound preventing healing

Did anyone have a second fistulotomy? Hi all I had a complex transphincteric fistula. It was pretty deep because my abscess was really big. I wanna say over 5 cm deep. I had a laser surgery and coring of the abscess cavity back in January. Things had been going really well. The internal opening and track through the muscle has healed and so basically it’s now just an outside wound. The wound was healing pretty rapidly at first and then at about 2 to 3 cm of depth it started stalling and just wouldn’t heal further. It’s really odd since I’ve had no issues with wound healing before and I had a few other tracks that had healed complete by week six.

My colorectal surgeon was not really sure what was going on, but had hypothesis that maybe because there had been some fibrotic tissue that had formed close to my sphincter muscles as well as just along the walls of the wound since it had been a long time. Basically I just had like about a 1 cm wound left to heal so I was really feeling like I was at the end of this crazy thing that took over my life

Yesterday he had to go in again and basically core out the fibrotic tissue surrounding my wound which was preventing full healing. It’s basically like a repeat fistulotomy for me at this point in my wound is now back to being deep and wide. I’m feeling so hopeless because I thought I honestly would be fully healed by now. Has anyone had this issue before. before this I had had a couple debridement and then he also tried chemical debridements. He showed me a video of the sample that he took and it did look like very thick fibrotic tissue that he carved out. I’m just feeling so hopeless at this point and I’ve had so many of these surgeries and I feel like it’s not gonna be over the good thing is he didn’t find any tract leading into my rectum anymore. It’s basically just a wound now that is refusing to fully heal.

Is this hypergranulation tissue?

Can something tell me if this looks healthy or hypergranulation?
