I'm in the bullseye of the Canadian wildfire smoke and having a discussion with my son. I always thought that my furnace didn't draw outside air in AC mode but he claims it does. What is the verdict?

Edit to add:

Sorry for the lack of picks. No timer or any ducting from outside to the return air. His argument was that anytime the blower runs it draws air from the outside via the PVC pipe to the outside for the burner chamber. My argument is that they are not connected to each other.
