A few observations and a few requests for advice.
I’ve had my Celestron telescope for about 3 years and only used the StarSense tech tonight for the first time. It is really nice, I found Bode’s Galaxy easily and probably would never have found it on my own. I also viewed the Lagoon nebula and poked around at a few other objects. It is soooo nice to have the guidance to find stuff, I am really slow at finding stuff on my own.
My goto eyepiece is a 14mm 82**°** eyepiece. My 24mm 68 ° is best for clusters and my 4.5mm 52 ° is not at all useful for deep space objects.
I want something stronger for deep space objects. I’m considering either an 8.5 or a 6.5mm, both 82**°.** Any suggestions as to which might be better?
I have a Celestron UHC filter and I’ve tried it out on the Orion Nebula and I’m not impressed with it. Any suggestions for a filter that will improve viewing of nebulae?
