In one video when heyward has the kids, she repeats a sentiment of how she had no mom present so she will be in her kid’s lives. Like it’s her duty to be present for them. & your kids do deserve to have you, but not with your emotional baggage.
I’d argue heavily that it would be better to be an absent parent than to be a traumatic parent. & simply being there is not enough for your children. 9/10 nature gives all animals, including us, an insane motherly instinct. The way even a bear will lay their lives on the line, just to give their kids time to get away. Nika is the 1/10.
No mother gets their hair and nails done and places their looks over their kids when money is tight. No mother eats out daily and hides from their kids. No mother would allow her kids to live in unclean conditions. No mother would take donations away from their kids in an act of self preservation. She doesn’t even allow her oldest kids to grow and learn. She doesn’t let them fix their own food, doesn’t teach them chores or how to do their hair. She leaves them dependent on her.
Also, nika has this weird thing with shielding her kids. Clearly she was harmed in some way growing up, but she doesn’t get to place her own burdens and trauma on her kids. Let them have friends and stay over. Let them go places. A mother’s goal is that their kids will live a better life than they did, not to experience the same or a worse life.
Nika, if you’re reading this, you don’t have haters. You have people who can see through you. You clearly have trauma that you need to deal with and Niya is a victim of you and can’t see right now that you’ve failed her. But some of your kids will grow to hate you. It’s not too late to deal with your own demons. Going back to the title of this post, you have done more harm to your kids than your mother could have done to you by being absent. You are 100x worse as a present mom, inflicting a lifetime of trauma on your kids.
& meanwhile he’s an absent parent to all of his kids and sees them for 4 mins a month, only while jaidyn or his own mom is around to parent his kids. & creates broken home after broken home after broken home with bird after bird of a woman.

I cannot stress enough how small they are. So small that i recently broke my one welfare rule… 15 qt minimum. I had to go smaller for my own mental health to keep my spiky isopods.

That post is about me, yes me! If the mods let this stay up, it should be read by a lot of you. You see, let me tell you what happened. I made a comment and i said “hey, maybe cps doesn’t have the legal reasons the sub thinks to take him” meaning there’s no proof he has seizures, is blind or deaf. I didn’t speculate if he did have or didn’t have it. I said perhaps that is why. I said she’s a bad person for drinking and he’s delayed MEANING yes many health things are going on.
I then linked a post to the cps sub that also tried to reason with people about why cps maybe hasn’t taken him. The one person who admits English isn’t their first language kept responding showing they don’t understand what is being said to them.
Yall are so deep into an echo chamber that you don’t even know when someone like me who is on your side but doesn’t agree with your ONE part, is siding with you. Disclaimer: I am deeply fascinated with the millipedes that we are lucky to have native to the USA. Though some, like these fungivores can be challenging to keep long term.
This is a current and ongoing project that i have been doing over the last few months. I am trying to more so create a sustainable environment that supports their needs vs continuing to source their needs in the wild. To date, none have died and while tempted to add more brachycybe species, I understand that it will take far longer to see if this project continues to work. They are flat enough that you have to be very careful about their enclosure build, because they will use leaves to climb vents to do felonious activities.
Just thought they were neat enough to share, but I am in no way promoting getting them without understanding their needs and how to try to provide it.
When i got these, i hadn’t had time to dry my soil out, so yes it is humid in the pics but I kept the lid off to dry it out and that’s been weeks ago and none died 🙏
Unfortunately I have a bad male to female ratio and I need to rehome 2-3 males. $25/each. If I had space to send them to horny jail, i would but i don’t. I mean seriously, look at the pics, they never stop and its to a concerning degree, stress wise.

The oldest are about 4 months old and only now have they got to a place where you can really see the spotting they’d have as adults…. Compared to my slowest growing Ardentiella isopods, that would be fully colored up at 2.5 months . Millipedes are not for the weak 😂😩

They are very small, but this is a true American patriot. A native of one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world, he is humble, in the world of flashy, large, Asian giants (i do love all pill millipedes, i am just tryna hype my boys up). He does his best!
I haven’t found them to be hard to get along with and I am happy to answer questions on care, but still a precaution that these are pill millipedes. Largely fossorial but always a few above ground.
