Thinking of buying Acer Nitro V16 for mechanical engineering as an incoming freshmen**.**

Acer - Nitro V16 16'' Gaming Laptop,AMD Ryzen 5 240,32GB RAM,1TB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050,Win 11 - Black

Mainly chose it because of “bang for buck” but also heard some concerns about battery and size/heaviness.

Any thoughts/other recommendations? FYI this laptop would be probably $1160 as of bestbuy right now.

Thank you in advance
