i applied for a westpac altitude black credit card a month ago but got instantly rejected. At the time I had two other credit cards (one with 6k limit and one with 10k limit). In the past I've had no issues holding multiple credit cards (up until 30k limit) so I thought applying for this card at a 6k limit would cause no issues.

I have closed off the 10k recently and only have one card open. I want to try to re-apply for this credit card before the changes that come up before 1st of October. How long should I wait in between applications to apply for the same card? How do I make sure that I don't get rejected for this again?

I've held 7 different cards in the past 24 months so initially thought it was for my history.
