Do Woolworths gift cards actually trigger cash advance fees on NAB?

I picked up a Woolworths gift card and then started seeing people mention cash advance fees with certain transactions. Now I’m slightly worried I’ve done something stupid without realising it.

ANZ’s automated rejection system is an absolute joke

I have a perfect Equifax score, zero debt, an offset account sitting with a comfortable buffer, and a very healthy corporate salary. Applied for the ANZ Frequent Flyer Black today just to hit the 90k bonus, and got slapped with an instantaneous, automated rejection email within three seconds of hitting submit. No human eye even looked at it. Called up their support line and the operator just read off a script saying they can’t disclose criteria. Meanwhile, my mate who works part time and has half my income got approved instantly last month. It makes absolutely zero sense.

Need help!!!

I accidentally applied and got approved for a St George Amplify Signature Card.. I was meant to do the Qantas. I needed to purchase stuff ASAP and couldn’t wait for another application

Am I screwed? I get 100k amplify points soon and already have about 11k points

What’s the best way to use amplify points? They don’t seem all good to me

Best Qantas card to keep for everyday spend? i.e. low annual fee but high point earning? Not necessarily needing bonus points.

As the title asks.

It looks like the HSBC Platinum Qantas Credit Card might be the best? It gains 1.5 points per dollar (up to $120k spend) and $0 membership fee for first year.

Would Amex Ultimate be the next best?

best program for long haul business class rewards flights

I have accrued hundreds of thousands of QFF before realizing that getting business classic rewards flights for long haul trips is basically impossible for bronze members.

I'm wondering if its worth starting to accrue points with someone else. Velocity, Krisflyer, AMEX membership rewards etc.

Or are they all basically the same in terms of difficulty in getting actual long haul business flights?

What is the best cc for someone with $15k-$20k worth of annual spends?

I currently have an Amex platinum edge. I used to have a girlfriend that led to expenses exceeding $30k per annum. After my break-up, my expenses have literally halved, to about $15k to $20k per month. Now I feel the $195 annual fee isn't worth it. Which is the best cc that has minimal to no fees, and offers good rewards and other benefits (airport lounge, brand offers etc).

I'm agnostic to interest rates since I always pay my cc bills on time and never incur any interest charges. My expenses are usually groceries, shopping at mid range stores, and occasional travel to domestic and international destinations.

AMEX ultimate travel credit

I was wondering if the refund hack still works? Just want to know if I cancel the flight, would I get the full refund or just the travel credit back?

For context, I am planning to book a flight from Sydney to Shanghai one way ticket for $803 with Qantas + China Eastern Airlines. I want to book with Cathay Airlines instead as I arrive to Shanghai earlier and I leave the day before.

What should be my next card ?

https://preview.redd.it/yh74gelq591h1.png?width=901&format=png&auto=webp&s=c56608312ef702c0ee5e4ef49d3ca521fb5b10f4

These are the cards I have applied and closed in the last few years.

Currently have Amex-Essential (No fee) which I use as Keeper Card.

So looking forward to hear from fellow credit card churners, what would you recommend my next card should be?

I don't want to apply CBA for now because I would apply it later in the year as I would like to use it while I am travelling.

Westpac Altitude Black second-year trap

They are offering 200k points now, but 100k of that only lands after you pay the second-year $295 annual fee. It feels like a sneaky way to keep us from cancelling at month 11. What am I missing here?

New to Credit Card Churning

Hey!
I'm new to this credit card churning. Currently have the ANZ black (had it for 5+ years). Looking at perhaps changing to the
Qantas American Express Ultimate Card
or
NAB Qantas Rewards Signature Card

Or would another be better?

Thank you in advance.

Applying for my second credit card

Hey guys, just started my churning journey and I managed to churn through my amex ultimate in a month (16k credit limit). Looking to churn my second one with NAB signature rewards (or any other recommended cards?), but unsure on whether or not i’ll get approved.

Would lowering my credit limit on my amex ultimate increase the chances of getting approved, or does it not matter? Thank you!

+ is a one month window between applications fine?

For context, i’m sitting on around 90k base, started FT start of this year.

What’s the most annoying part of churning right now for you?

For me it’s mainly the longer cooldowns between bonuses on the big banks. Having to wait up to a couple of years before you’re eligible again really slows the whole cycle down compared to how it used to feel

Amex Explorer

I am looking at the Amex Explorer to gain points to use for flights asap.

If you have this card, can you tell me if the bonus points are paid out as soon as you reach the minimum spend (within first three months) or do I need to wait for the first three months to lapse?

What are the chances of 3x business class seats international Philippines and Japan

Wife and I are planning first family trip for a long time.

Melbourne, Sydney to Philippines and/or Japan. We are looking to relocate to Brisbane so also keen to search those routes.

Have a few kids, 1 under 2 but the eldest will be likely flying with the grandparents so just 3 seats + infant.

And tips for trying to get business seats?

NAB Qantas Signature - Bonus Points Limbo

Hi Group - wanted to share my experience with the NAB QF signature card, and bonus 70,000 QF points with minimum $5,000 spend in three months.

Plus points - the minimum spend can include rent payments made to DEFT, I assume snip would also qualify as eligible spend. They seem pretty fair on the qualification - I called today and they confirmed I'd reached min spend 5 days ago which is 100% in line with my calcs.

However - when do the points get credited, this is the question. It's now mid-May and I requested the points be credited on the end of May statement, so I can use them in June for a vacation trip on Qantas. However they said this could not be done, their reasoning is if they expedite the points then they may end up giving me 2x points. Seems like a load of bs - just an excuse not to change their system.

So overall I find NAB to be quite a 'black box' when it comes to bonus points credit timeframes, no commitment as to when given. With others such as Qantas Platinum they've been really fair and credited immediately (within a few days) of min spend achieved.

I'll update once the points land.

What has your experience been? Please do share.

Also I asked about the email confirming spend achieved - was told this would happen but again zero confirmation of when. Could be a few days, a month, who knows?

Best card right now.

I have a tax bill due soon. Circa $250k.

What card would you suggest I apply for? For maximum points without a huge surcharge.

I do not anticipate having a problem getting any card I apply for. I don’t need perks like high level Amex concierge etc.

Thanks
